Headspace Annual Membership (via Anxiety UK) £30

Found 13th Dec 2017
More a heads up as this seems to be their regular price. With Christmas coming up, I thought it'd be a good time to highlight this though.

Signing up for an annual membership to Anxiety UK gets you a year of Headspace for much less than the standard annual fee (£72ish).

£30 for single memberships, £25 for students, £50 for family.

Great post. Can I just say that even if you don’t choose this organisation please please get help and know that you can be helped and your not alone.
Sadly not suitable for anyone suffering with financial anxiety.
Shame this has a fee, and considering it is a charity seems to be help if you can afford it. Sorry cold from me. Two tier mental health provision is wrong.

I've heard good things about Buddhify. One off fee, (quite) cheap, might help?

I feel like htis would help but I've never had anyone's opinion of using it, does it help. Thanks

I'm currently half way through an annual subscription with Headspace and have found it to be excellent. It's almost like giving your brain a 10 minute break from the whirlwind of thoughts that are constantly on your mind. Helps me stay calm while very busy with work

Just like any other subscription (Gym etc.) you do need to be disciplined to get continued value.
For those of us who are not rich enough to donate huge somes to headspace, welzen lifetime subscription is cheaper here stacksocial.com/sal…ion; I tried both and basically does exactly the same.

I couldn't agree more.
I use this site for meditation apps and get lots of info for free. So you don't have to pay there are lots of freebies.
The Insight Timer app/site is free and has hundreds of guided meditations from dozens of practitioners. Also the Destressify app is free. I tried Headspace but didn't think it represented good value for money.
This didn't work for me at all - just sent me to sleep

Some people pay a lot of money for that but yeah, joke aside, they're crap and overpriced.

Nobody rich, old, young, poor, black, white, green, yellow, blue, tall, small, should have to pay for any mental health help, Shame it is that way.

Nobody has to pay, there are plenty of free resources around. Headspace is a popular and well marketed option, and this was the best price I could find for a years subscription. They have a free trial on their site which you can use to decide if it's worth the money to you. If it's not, you can invest your time and money elsewhere.

Different methods work for different people. For some, this app will be pointless. For others, it might be a life saver.

Mental heath support in the UK isn't as good as it could and should be, but it's improving. Unrealistically arguing that a business should provide an optional product for free doesn't help anyone.

You are living in cloud cuckoo land if you think there are plenty of free resources around!! To say provision in this country " isn't as good as it could be" is about as far removed from the truth as is possible!!! and as for the ludicrous statement that is is improving, well good luck towing the party line on that nonsense it is completely underfunded and is being cut further every single day, mental health provision is a disgrace and leeches like this company who take money because of peoples ill health whilst waving the banner of being a charity disgusts me. Just ask yourself if the biggest killer of men under 50 is suicide, are thing as good as you make out. Please do not reply as I have muted you as you will only try to defend the indefensible (your position) and you are affecting my mental health so please do not try to add to this, with that caveat i am interested to see if you put your opinion ahead of showing some humanity.
