Not quite a deal.
With the launch of the Shadowkeep expansion, planned for September 17 this year, the basic version of the game will change its name to Destiny 2: New Light and will go on to the free-to-play model. The title in the free edition should have all the content that appeared in the first year of production, including the modes, tasks and prizes available to win. The change of the model is aimed at attracting to Destiny 2 to players from other popular free titles, such as Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Also Quake II RTX for free @ Steam Just first three levels but owners of original Quake 2 can upgrade to RTX for free.
Nice, thanks for the heads up. I somehow missed it when it was free before and never bothered to boot it up on the PS4. Might finally give it a try
100s of hours of content here. Yes it had rocky start after D1 but it's a very polished and fun game to play now. Well worth playing if you haven't yet.
Nice! Thanks for reporting this
Glad to see Bungie go in the right direction after ditching truly horrible Activision.
Great news! Have seen on the steam page for £29.99. will it go free for steam as well, or will it be only on blizzard?

This will work on Xbox One, Stadia, and Steam - and Bungie has confirmed that PS4 is supported too.
Ok £29.99 must be for the next expansion. Release date on steam is 17-Sept 2019
Anyone who picked up the game free a while ago, the first two expansions are now available. Thank god I held off buying them

By going free to play?
Heat, worth a try even though you kinda need the dlc to do most things so see this as more of an extended demo
