Actually, we find these extremely useful.

*When we are under-the-stairs in the dark, looking for something, these are invaluable.
* When overnight visitors take their dog in the garden, they use one of these to give themselves a free hand for clearing up.
*Family take one on holiday to use on the first few nights when needing the bathroom to save putting on light and disturbing others.
Voted hot.

Just as a warning for those who haven't used CPC before. Since I ordered some bike lights (found on this site approx a month ago) they have bombarded me with their paper catalogues at least once a week (sometimes more). gee - what a waste and pretty annoying!

mailto:webinfo@cpc.co.uk send them your address and ask them to stop bombarding you. they do take the urine
same thing in poundland

Yes I got the same. I bought some cable tie for a few p, and now receiving their regular mail shots. I don't mind them though, quite a good read when bored. It's amazing to see how cheap their things are.

But definitely bad for saving the environment.

Had one from Poundland - rubbish. Batteries would drain if inserted (even if LED torch is not being used). Headband broke after first 4 hour night hike.
People shouldn't be confused with poundland quality and the products cpc provide.
Got one from their last deal. Doesn't feel that sturdy, but at the price it's a bargain !
Plus I like how you can set different brightness levels or even flashing. (Useful for bicycle riders)
Cheap head torches usually fall apart within a week. Buy a decent brand like Petzl.
Bought. Thank you. Handy for my daughters camp weeks!
Thanks OP, dont even need it, but ordered it anyway at this price.

It did indeed make our list on a recent competition we ran on Facebook / Twitter / Google pages ;-)

planet.farnell.com/ema…jpg

(Competition over / links on that image dead - Just a picture)

On a more serious note...

[ahem]

Just to let you guys know...

Although the website does say that there aren't batteries included (as also noted above "It is powered by 3 AAA batteries (Not included)" - The actual packaging does say that they are.

There definitely not, we've got one out of stock and checked

Obviously, you're not expecting batteries (or shouldn't be) so that isn't really an issue, but thought we best mention it anyways

Thanks to CPC for the response. I was just wondering the whether the offer is genuine or not, after noticing the user who posted this deal is suspened
sorry, seems very bulky, cold from me. I have seen a style similar to the energizer ones but Asda's own brand for £3.

Yup, quite real - no idea what the user has been suspended for, but - Yeah, plenty sold already and plenty left in stock

False economy these headtorches that place the battery compartment on your forehead. I've owned this model before, it's very uncomfortable and bulky given where the batteries are placed and it also fell apart within a short space of time. Admittedly this is a throw away price but I still think if you want a head torch, it's worth investing in something better.
Thanks OP.
My daughter lost my previous light on the slopes of Kilimanjaro last year.
I only use it to see in the loft so this will do nicely as a replacement.
Heat added.
I've had one, it was worse than useless sadly. And it broke almost immediately.
the poundland one I got last year was very good, however it was only 7 led. This one is 18 led (not the 19led in the description - so that needs to be changed) so presumably must be a fair bit brighter too...tho at cost to battery consumption

It does seem to be pot luck on the quality of them though. The first one I bought I paid around £4 or so on amazon, and the strap plastics on them broke within minutes, but the poundland one has been very reliable
Had these before, Ideal for working under the car or even night fishing.
Ordered - thanks
ordered

Same here, too good of a deal. Dont need them but ordered 2
There is a big difference between getting a good product at a good price and buying cheap rubbish. This thing is cheap and nasty and is still being sold to you at a profit @ £1.86 all overheads considered. However little it costs, it's still cr#p. Cold, cold cold.
Must stop coming on here.. Even though i do numerous times a day.
