I really want a waffle maker ( just ate a liege waffle as it goes ) but there’s something about the non rectangular ones which put me off
Another great deal to clog up your arteries for an early heart attack...

Is this good for bacon rashers?

Have some heat..

Just a normal waffle but with added blue food colouring. Why what were you thinking of?

Don't worry, you're not only one. Believe it or not, nobody is getting younger.
Ironic considering they are bad for your heart (with the syrups)

On a serious note, I'd rather enjoy my life eating my daily pork sausages and bacon rashers rather than living an extra year or two as a boring vegan..

Kindest regards
Are the waffle irons detachable so I can get my wife to clean them when I finish?

"Extra year or two", I hope you know unhealthy foods can reduce your lifespan by half or sometimes more. Not just 1 or 2 years lol. (Coming from a non-vegan..)

Spelt waffle with fruit, or eggs with salmon. Healthy and delicious!

Thin. I would have preferred deep.

Is it still worth it? For breakfast waffles with eggs? Or are these more dessert-y?
id prefer a waffle bot but this is a bargain.

I made a potato waffle with it, for me it worked better than the desert waffles. But for me, I still felt a little thin. I would say yes, but if you prefer deep waffles, maybe give it a miss.

Thanks - I'll give it a go (can't go wrong for a tenner) and boot sale it this summer if it doesn't get used! Thank for the help 😊

Is that so? Do you have any credible references that I can read up to help me decide whether to jack it in or not.

With kindest regards

Yes very true. I'd rather carry on eating meat and lose say 5 years than end those extra 5 years likely in a care home skinny and hungry.

The poster that says half your life span or even more, so instead of 80, looking at 40 or 35, is looking at someone extremely unhealthy and obese. Most people who eat meat aren't in that extreme at all.

Well, whats the expected age for a middle aged guy who smokes 40 fags a day, drinks 25 units per week and has a BMI of 32? Oh, and does no regular exercise apart from the odd walk to the chippy.

Hopefully won't be 45!

Cheers

Are you referring to yourself? I was just going on your bacon and sausages sandwiches in my estimation.

If one is going to bring in smoking and drinking and eating unhealthily generally, no exercise, then the goal posts of course need to be moved. You are looking at 50's for me. Biggest thing you need to do is stop smoking! That alone will give you another decade. My bmi is 26 and I exercise quite a bit so I'm only slightly overweight. Diet is not too bad. Gave up smoking 6 years ago. I'm looking at 70 myself. But I drink more than you. That is my biggest unheathy trait. And if I don't get to grips with that then I'm looking at 60.

Interesting stats.. bit where do you get these figures from? Just pulled out of the thin air ?

I don't think it's worth stopping smoking.. I'll only put on even more flab and put myself at higher risk of heart attacks.. it's doing well to keep the weight gain at bay..

My diet is bad I admit.. I eat chips around 3 times a week, used to be 5. My main vice is computer games.. I could sit there all day and just order food in and play all night long..

I'm wondering whether to go for a general MOT...

Why go for an MOT? You already know your unhealthy due to your dreadful life choices. You want someone else to tell you you're killing yourself....You're killing yourself! That's on the house btw.

If so that sucks. My Lidl has cheap tat like picnic blankets and inflatable Zimmer frames. Never anything I would want to buy. In fact every deal I see on here never features in south London store.!

Well at least I don't drink too much, so that's a good thing. I'm thinking of joining the gym as they have a discount for the first three months. And it's must cheaper for those signing the dole..

A personal trainer once said to me that there is muscle underneath everyone's fat layer.. I remember his wise words. Also muscle is heavier than fat

Just my tuppence worth...

people can be vegan for other reasons. also i think vegans have longer lifespan than the omnivores, rather than just 1- 2 years.
disclaimer: i am not a vegan
