I was in Tesco (Springhill) yesterday and saw a range of Hearty Food company ready meals for a pound. Not sure if this is a regular price or special offer but will do for a cheap lunch.

Good variety of chooses as well:

Spaghetti Bolognese
Sausage and mash
Fish pie
Sweet and sour chicken

Instore and online.

They have always been pound when I have seen them. Not sure if this a deal if this the normal price.
Cottage pie isn't bad, the fish pie is. IME. YMMV.
These are Tesco value meals rebranded with fancier looking packaging.
Normal price, but worth highlighting, thanks op.
Nutritional values are surprisingly good for ready meals, and they taste good, too!
Get 2 of these for my mum whenever i go in.She likes the sausage and mash, cottage pie and fish pie.
I had the cottage pie yesterday, not much taste, hubby had the fish pie said it was nice, but then he's easily pleased :-)
God i had no idea these were the value range now. Learn something new every day Long gone are the days of the white and blue packaging.

I have to get these for my mum, but and its a big but, she throws the sausage away ??wtf.
The meat content % is ridiculously low.
rebrand and surprise surprise a small price increase
Iceland do similar meals that weigh more and are at the same price. 500g compared to 400g at Tesco
Pity they put so much salt in.

I tried one today the sausage was nice with a bit of black pepper in them. Better than the Morrison's value range ones.
Yes, normal price prefer cottage pie myself but add pepper to it with some veg to make a meal if short of time. Didn't like the fish pie very milky. Good deal and heated
These are just the blue and white stripe old versions rehashed. And they're grim sadly. ALWAYS a pound too.
The £1 frozen meals were better (I especially liked the cottage pie which was 253 calories and yet still pretty tasty) - but they're either discontinued or awaiting a change in packaging.
