Agreed, just put the heat line up for the price, definitely the Vaillant is the better long term option.

Bought 3 Valiant boilers over the last 2 years. (Different houses)
2 of the 3 have failed and needed repairs.
After the warranty expires the parts cost a fortune.
Next time I am going back to Bosch. Last one I had lasted near 14 years with only a cheap pressure guage needing replaced. Was assured by the heating engineer Valiant never give problems. Sorry I took his advice.
My boiler blew up last week.

Really need help with ideas of what to go for. Is everyone saying the Heatline isn't good then?

Our valiant is about 17 years old, and going strong.
Touch wood.
Vaillant were historically very reliable but newer versions according to internet forums on the subject not as reliable. Worcester Bosch appear to be universally acclaimed as most reliable. Budget boilers from Baxi (also make Potterton and Main) also worth considering if on a budget and some models with 5 & 7 yrs gaurantee. I think Vaillant own Heatline so perhaps have common parts.

No, ours is a Eurotec. Had no problems at all.

Not compared to a Powermaxx, they are atrocious. So badly made they no longer make boilers!
