Our 3 blade stove fan requires no electricity to operate, it uses the heat from your stove to power the fan and efficiently disperses the heat around your room. The stove fan will begin to work around 60°C, the hotter the temperature of the stove the faster the fan blades will rotate. The stove fan has a working temperature between 60°C (140°F) and 300°C (572°F), if the temperature begins to exceed this, the safety device on the bottom of the fan will rise up and raise the front of the fan to protect it from high temperatures, the fan will automatically recover as the surface temperature decreases. We include a carrying handle so you can move the fan when needed. Always use gloves or tongues when the fan is hot. The stove fan costs nothing to run, simply stand it on top of your wood stove and watch it begin to disperse heat around the room! Our design maximises airflow so the stove fan can push more hot air around your room. The stove fan operates silently and creates a quiet and comfortable environment. Specification:

They power stoves by heat now?
I’m not a fan 🤣
I'm blowing hot & cold on this deal. Have some heat though....
Do these actually have any benefit? Have heard mixed reviews about stove fans....

What's not to like? You won't "use up to 28% less wood" but it will blow at least some warm air from above the stove into the room.
We have a similar fan on the top our stove, which is set back into the chimney opening. I think it does help push the heat a bit further into the room.
We used to have a stove fan and it definitely heated the room up faster but I would advise getting a thermometer that you fit to the flue as if it gets too hot then it causes the fan to fail as this is what happened to ours

I recently bought the Aldi workzone one. It really does propel warm air out into the room very effectively. sadly my homemade one had died, but the Aldi one is a lot more effective. The listed one above looks very similar.

Would it work on a normal radiator?

I've got a radiator where I don't have access to a socket so want to see if that would work

Thanks
Thanks

Just gave it a go for 15 mins and it didn't work. Surface not hot enough compared to the top of a log stove.

Cheers buddy, saved me £20
i bought one of these about 3 years ago and its still sitting on top of my stove spinning around, does it make a difference, i dont think so. its just another gimmick to my huge list of gimmicks.

Some of the more expensive ones have a bimetal strip on the bottom.. if it gets too hot it lifts the base off the stove slightly when it flexes and allows the main part to cool down.
These are great when used on narrow boats for distributing heat, not sure about in a house, maybe just a gimmick as some have already stated.
Anyone else not get free postage with code??
We paid £70 for a similar one last year. We think it's great - it really does push heat out into the room. Almost tempted to buy another one to put on the other side of the wood burning stove ...
