I have one of these bought for about £20 from ebay and would recommend. Yes the outer bars are not heated but the remainder are. Probably dries clothes in the same time as it would if you hung items over a radiator or put in an airing cupboard.

Great news

Hook it up to a timer and you can have warm undercrackers every morning.

Good idea haha

Voted hot as seems like a good deal. Does anyone have any probs with this leaving a line on clothes when they are hung over the heated rails? And does it dry evenly?

Not sure about it drying evenly as I haven't used it, but It doesn't get any hotter than a radiator so I can't imagine you would get a line

Woohoo, just reserved in Plymouth

I assume if you "drape" clothes over each bar indivudually, only a tiny part of each item will get warm, so you have to "lay" items flat over the dryer?

No, on each bar. convection of air dries them quicker than normal bars.

What about negative review

I have a dri buddi and its fab, also it kicks a little extra heat out & warms up the room too.
Just a bit more expensive and bulky, but i might just buy another one. I seem to never stop washing and drying so i need more drying capacity.

"...this silver clothes heater will look modern in your home décor layout, complementing existing colour schemes and styles."!

What are they on? oO

I had bought this off eBay over a year ago, the heated rail doesn't really make that much of a difference if you're putting clothes on individual bars (it just dries the 'line' in contact with the bar faster, the rest of garment dries in the same duration as a normal airer). If you lay the garment across several rails it would dry faster, but you'd still end up with wet patches in between.

That said, it's compact, easy to fold and store away, very sturdy and has held up well in day to day use. I'd still recommend it, just don't expect it to dry your laundry faster or work like a radiator!!

The manufaturers probably know that if the outer edge bars were to be heated, some simpleton still in search of the common sense sale, will most like grab it by the outer bars to pick up and move!

Looks liks a great item and price to me!

I agree the problem I've been having with drying on my radiators is the damp smell underneath with the heating going on and off things aren't getting dried quick enough, I think this is going to do the trick!

Same here what I would do without my washing machine!

Just use a normal airer and point a fan heater at it

ThoughtI was getting double vision with that pic so aired them and I'm ok now.

I just reserved one in Inverness,

dries unevenly takes a while drying for 8h now and still wet ..

would have liked to get this, but not available for home delivery and no stock anywhere

Can I ask which store that is?

I bought one of these ages ago for a lot more money than this , only tried it out recently when I had my Grandson over and had to get his school uniform dried quick time overnight , it didn't leave a line but there is a knack in hanging the stuff so it dries as evenly as possible , good for emergencies though as is a gentle heat for overnight drying

To be honest I wasn't thrilled with this dryer as my Grandsons cuffs and collars of his sweatshirts etc were still a bit damp in the morning , so I have just bid on a cabinet type dryer which looks like a mini fabric wardrobe but with a dryer in it / underneath

I looked at the dri buddy but it would possibly be too small for my use so I got the pink wardrobe style one to fit in with my bedroom decor and it will hopefully keep the room a bit warm and toasty at the same time as a bonus , especially for winter use!

It is costing me £36 on Ebay but well worth it as I don't have the space anywhere for a tumble dryer but this will just about fit in my bedroom and hopefully it will do a good job for me as well as not look too ugly as at least will be practical and functional - I think it comes from China but has a UK plug and it's worth a try to at least have a properly dried uniform for my Grandson in the winter and possibly heat the room too

ooo I am definitely going for the wardrobe style dryer!

Will give this rack one to my daughter in case she needs it for slightly quicker drying sometimes , but the one I have decided to get is 1000 watts and can be used as a room heater as well and comes with a 3 hour timer so can set it at bedtime ( it has quiet operation but that type of noise puts me to sleep anyway! ) and then hopefully everything including my Grandsons uniform will be well and truly dry in the morning!!
