Brooklyn Trading have reduced their Heated Towel Rail Radiators again & it looks like they've reduced their delivery by £1 to £3.99 as well, making them now from £18.98 Del. The offer includes Straight, Curved, Corner & a rather snazzy looking Spiral version in both White & Chrome finish, had a look around & though I am not a radiator expert, the prices do look decent.
The one on the pic is a curved white size 730 X 450MM & that is £18.98 Delivered. Link should go to the whole offer.

These seem to good to be true. Are they 2nds/refurbs?

Buy with confidence, got one last time they had this offer on, good quality been up now for 12 months no problems at all.

Anyone know if these are just for use as part of a "wet" central heating system, or can they be used with an electrical insert.

I ordered the corner curved rad a few weeks back. Defo not a refurb, very good value and quick delivery too.

Any tube central heating rad can be converted. You just need a heating element.

Do you have 2 in your basket? It did that when I had 2 in mine, but £3.99 if you add just 1

Make sure you check the BTU's on these before buying them, or you could end up with a cold bathroom! A typical bathroom radiator puts out between 1100-1700BTU, some of these towel rads put out less than 1000.

Obviously depends on the size of your bathroom and insulation, but for medium sized bathrooms these are handy towel warmers, not a substitute for heating!

I've got one in the bathroom - fitted 8 years ago as part of our gas central heating system but now needs changing.

If I get a plumber, is it just a matter of removing the old one & replacing with this?

Yep, as long as the size (width) is the same.

The job is easy for anyone DIY minded though.

Can you connect this up as a normal radiator in the bathroom? As in not a warmer, just an upright runged radiator?

I had this set-up at my last house. A towel heating radiator does not give out enough radiated heat alone to keep a bathroom warm in wintertime, even removing the TRV wasn't enough.

right,so towel rads and actual proper rads are two very different things yeah?

I bought a rad from them a while back. what arrived was what appeared to be a Chinese knockoff of the Quinn I wanted. The packaging was not fit for transport and arrived with many scuffs on it, plus also small defects from the manufacturing itself. brooklyn were very good about it and did refund me based on the damage in transit, so I'm not unhappy with that bit!

Hi, my current radiator measures 700mm Wide, but my pipes below measure 770mm Wide, am i right in ordering a 770(H) x 750(W)? Any help would be appreciated!

Any one know if I would need to change the valves on these as the connections seem to go up at the bottom and not at the sides like my existing ones ?

Is this a special "flash" sale or are these prices always available? some of the prices seems very, very good.

Some of the pictures don't seem to match the radiator dimensions so not sure what's up for grabs...
