Sounds decent considering it covers Terminals 2-5
We like to get to the airport nice and early to save the faff and usually end up spending a fair bit on a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. You can use the lounge for 3 hours. As with a lot of lounges, Champagne and premium drinks carry a surcharge if you want them. Look good value overall though and who doesn't like to start their hols with food and a beer? I know I do anyway (Also the entire holiday, but hey...)

Valid daily until 31 December

Get your next holiday off to a relaxing start with this offer for Travelzoo members. For £26 a head, you can visit a Plaza Premium Lounge at Heathrow terminals 2-5 and get food and house alcoholic drinks; the lounges also offer showers, resting areas, newspapers and magazines, and free Wi-Fi.

What you get

  • Access to one of the following Plaza Premium Lounges at Heathrow Airport for up to three hours: Terminal 2 Departures, Terminal 2 Arrivals, Terminal 3 Arrivals, Terminal 4 Departures, Terminal 4 Arrivals or Terminal 5 Departures
  • Food and a choice of house alcoholic drinks -- please note an additional charge applies to champagne, prosecco and premium drinks*. Breakfast is served from 5-11am; lunch and dinner are served from 11am-10pm
  • You will also receive a 15% discount to use on your next visit to any Plaza Premium Lounge Worldwide
  • Valid daily until 31 December

We get two passes with our Amex Gold. First year there is no fee. Plus if you spend £2k in first 3 months you get 20k bonus points (22k if you get someone to refer you). That's enough in Avios for a return EU flight. Refer your other half and you'll get another 9k in points, so you have enough for 2 return shorthaul flights.

1) Sign up or get referred to Amex Gold
2) Pay for your holiday with it
3) Use the free lounge passes
4) Get your 20k (or 22k with referral) points
5) Refer other half and get 9k referral points
6) Transfer points to Avios and get 2 return shortfall flights
7) Cancel your card and go back to step (2) with your other halfs card
8 ) Dont pay for lounge access.

This is actually 35% off (usually £40)
£26 still seems a lot. I've never found T5 that busy and you can get a proper breakfast/meal at somewhere like the 'spoons with a few drinks for less.

Possibly with checking the lounge reviews first as well.

Very true but if you have a few drinks you can end up spending more than £26 and the seating is nicer in the lounges 🏻

When it's not rammed, or full of Chavs getting drink before they get on the plane.
Terminal 3 departures doesn't seem to be included
Major rip off. They'll refuse you entry on the basis the lounge is full - happens all the time. Do not bank on getting in

I get access to this lounge with my amex lounge pass. I've never been refused entry on the grounds it's full.

Worst I've had is "hey, it's pretty busy this morning, you may have to share a table".

I also get them through Amex and through my Bank account.

LHR isnt bad for lounge access. Gatwick can be a pain apparently
Any idea of the full drinks list? And what kind of food is served for lunch/dinner? (Vege here, lol)

Never bothered with the lounge, but at £26 it’s not bad to try

Can't comment on the alcoholic drinks, at most I have a beer before, if its an evening flight.

In terms of food, as a veggie you wont have that much choice. There will be customary spread of pastries/cakes/etc. There will be a veg main, but I think you'll be lucky to get two. My mum who's also a Veggie tends to eat the fruit and pastries from what she tells me, but not sure if its this lounge or another.

Check out trip advisor or google "Plaza Premium Lounge Heathrow" and select images, people tend to put some examples of the fare on offer.
