Been thinking about one of these since the Black Friday deal, this is the compact version not the original.

The SUB® Compact differs from other SUB models due to its smaller size and TORP loading system. It has the same unique cooling technology that allows you to enjoy the perfect draft beer.

Be wary of these. Its a great concept but they entice you to buy 8ish torps to get the free delivery then send them all with a 2 months use by date. For the premium you pay I'm seriously considering going back to cans/supermarket deals. Also a couple of us have tried many of the beers and the Heineken is about the only one woth drinking. The morretti tastes nothing like the pub version and some of the other ones are pretty awful.
Great price for the machine but from personal experience I wouldn't bother based on what I know now.

Tempting!
Surely it's better to buy a 2l torpedo of beer at the same time than pay the delivery charge?

Also what's the problem with offering to share discount codes? I recently purchased one of these using a referral code from another member on here which gave me 15% off my first order and him a code for 15% off his next order. I was more than happy with this and surely this is what this site is all about - saving each other money. Seems to have worked with quidco as well as mine tracked immediately, although as is always the case whether it's paid or not is another matter.

*EDIT* Shipping appears to be free on this anyway (order £49 and above) so this should probably be updated.

Only thing that puts me off is the price of the TORP. Approx £9 for 2 litres, approx £2.50 a pint...

Agreed, nearly went for it but then realised the costs involved. Good idea but ongoing costs just too dear.

If you like being tethered to a few dozen different beers then it’s not a bad deal
Sorry about that guys, someone amended my post to say it had delivery. They didn’t do their homework and read my comments. Changed it back

I get the 'smaller size', but what's different about the TORP loading system?

£9 a torp?? Heineken is 7.50
I have this and the perfect draft. If for example my father is popping round to watch football instead of going to the pub they give a better than a can taste for less than you'd pay in a pub. Apart from Spoons. Which very rarely have the football on.

I love the perfect draft for the quality and the size. This is a great alternative. I would recommend it.

Really tempting deal , fancied for a while only problem is price but for £50 and cash back seems worth it!

I guess they mean the normal size one loads from the front, whereas this one the top lifts up.

If you've got the money for this and a bundle of Torps, give it a bash mate. Briliiant for a sunny day, i've been using mine all weekend (lads staying over for the weekend, they all loved it)
I'd be worried that they'll stop making the torpes then just left with a useless machine

I'd imagine that most of the money they make is from the beer.

Money is definately in the beer. Can't see them stopping production anytime soon.

I love mine. Definately worth getting if you enjoy the pub taste but not the pub price

PMd you

Thanks. What you got compact or full size? Unsure on what to go for both on sale
Went for the compact, and the strong IPA
I went for the full size red sub, with the 3 for 2 torps. With referral code, under £75 for the lot. If Quidco pays out (not holding my breath though) it will be "sub" £70 all in
Fionashaw12330th May

What do the refferal codes offer?

Another 15% off your first purchase
pm'd you mate, don't forget topcashback (if it tracks...)
Can anyone say if there is any difference in performance with the compact version?. Is it worth the extra 20 bucks for the others?.

Might have been lucky but i've never had less than 4 months on any torps I've ordered. Ordered 16 Heineken ones and then exceeded best before date n still used the remaining ones and honestly couldn't tell the difference. Figure its more a rough guide than a hard and fast date so wouldn't let that put anyone off ordering bulk torp deals. Although firmly agree that most of the unheard of brands they do are absolutely terrible. Even the Heineken h41 wild lager special was tipped down the loo. Stick with normal Heineken/Tiger etc and all is good. Oh and I actually like the Morretti one, but i have no taste (so my wife tells me)!

Haven't had full size so can't compare, but the mini is perfect, great quality, sturdy, and would recommend 100%

Been drinking the Gandolf IPA, to my taste it's a very enjoyable drop and as it's a bit stronger than your lagers it's more value for money (if getting pssed is your thing )

I really like the Affligem, it pulled really well and its 6.7% too
I must say that I was dubious about purchasing this, with the costs compared with buying cans/bottles from a supermarket. However, used mine for the first time last night and the taste really is exceptional, just like drinking a pint down your local. Highly recommended, especially with the current Torp offer currently running

I went for the full size with a referral code. It did look to me to be better built but maybe I was wrong. I will probably never know.
Compact OOS. the rest still on discount. Heineken one is £85 with referral code. Looks the best of them all.
Does the 15% only come off the sub and not the torps ?

Yes it only took the 15% off the sub for me too.
I bought the torps that were on 3 for 2 and in the terms it says no other discounts.
Had mine for a couple of weeks now, buurp!.
Is pretty good to be fair. For anyone that is having issues with over frothy pours the answer is pretty simple, it's not cold enough yet. The green light can come on too early in my opinion as if poured straight away can end up with a very frothy beer even on full tilt. Leave it another hour or more and it improves. Leave it long enough and it's perfect every time.
why cant we request a referal code for money off ?
I’m not a beer drinker but considering getting my brother one for his birthday, struggling to find the difference between the compact & normal? Does the compact have a smaller cooling system? So it would take longer to chill?

Also, for clarity as per the OP, I am not asking for a referral code.
