Always worth popping your head in a few times a week if it's close enough as they have different offers in different stores all the time! The earlier in the day the better!

Might as well go full fat then

For some deals I wish I had more than one vote

I don't trust Poundstrecher for food. Went there this morning and they are selling biscuits that expired on the 4th November. Reduced to 29p but still...

I am sure a tin of beans for under 8 pence is worth the risk, even out of date I cant see them doing you any harm.

Cheers op, will try our local but doubt they'll stock as it's closing down once all stocks gone , just feel sorry for the poor sucker's that will be losing jobs before Xmas

Better then the low salt variety

That’s perfectly legal, biscuits have a best before date so they’re fine to eat afterwards they just might not taste as good. They just need to indicate their shorter shelf life by reducing them or clearly labelling them.

I’d happily eat biscuits for that price, 7 days past the date won’t make any difference to the taste.

but you do suggest you have some level of trust with a £1 store, maybe on their employees rights or the ethics of where there stuff is produced and the conditions they live in ? pulling your leg, or am I

By clearly advising their food has been reduced due to being out of date it shows how trustworthy the retailer is being.
Every week we buy out of date food from the local market.
Never been ill and saved £££'s.

If the packaging said “Best before” instead of “Expiry date” or “Use by”, then they can legally sell it and it’s safe to consume.

some people in this farce of a government cantafford to spend much on food like myself- I’d love to find somewhere to buy outta date food it beats starving I can tell you

Yes. Generally worth a look. Stock tends to be slow moving though - not much new stuff coming in.

I buy biscuits in bulk and will aways be eating them after best before date, and I bought a large amount of B/Beans once when, I believe, Tesco did a faulty double discount on them in four packs at half price and buy one pack and get another free. Took me over 10 years to get through them and only about three tins blew. You need to keep your eyes open for tinned food but are generally good for long time use.

Fantastic deal. Thanks OP!
