new packing, is that recyclable plastic?

Don't really like it, it's like not having a pint of milk in a bottle, beans should be in a tin

I like it as you can use as many as you want without having to worry about storing the leftovers.

Once open stays fresh for 5 DAYS although they dont usually last that long!

And I assume they can be washed and used again, if the cans of beans are cheaper!

I have two old tubs full of dry rice.
They tend to be discoloured however.

do these have to be kept refrigerated - if so does that make these "fresh" baked beans, while the tinned ones are UHT?

compared to all the bargain packs of 4's and 6's, it still does not sound that cheap, only just over 2 tins in a tub

I think that the new pack is rather pointless,
a bit of a non-event. I suspect that they will
quietly disappear in a few months.

It's not cheap - 6 x 415g cans for £1.62 (65p/KG) is a much better deal, also at Tesco.

Yes, a bit gimmicky, nothing wrong with saving part-used tins in a mug covered with clingfilm (in the fridge of course).
When ready, rip off the clingfilm, microwave, done

You can get more than 5th days out of these too trust me

@Misfire, I think I'm going to have to give these a try!

Just worried if this is going to be like Rubicon juice, as in it tastes totally different if in a Carton, bottle, or can.

Not that cheap, 89p for 4 cans at Morrisons last month was a better deal.

It's all very well but there's no way we could get through that many baked beans in 5 days, so not much use to us.

I think its a bargain and I'm stockin up for the winter!

Voted cold - sorry. Like others have said - a bit gimicky... a big tub that takes up quite a bit of fridge space - when you can either use a smaller plastic storage tub or mug.

I think you are right - my son wouldn't eat them, he said they didn't taste the same as the ones in the tin.

Store specific - offer's not on in my local store (Horsham).

So your son likes the taste of metal

don't want to pi$$ on the party but these do not keep too well even in the fridge...the 2nd week there was a dodgy taste for me.

but at 89p a bargain if consumed quickly may i add.

Will have a look later at our local, cheers.

These are good and convenient, shame branston dont do the same.... HOT

not on in our local but good find

Freezing cold from me.

shelf empty at my local extra store! not even on the plinths or anything! shelf only had room for 10 units! will have to try again tommorow or go to another store!

Ice cold vs the current deals on tins.

Also, I'd prefer a freshly opened tin for each serving, myself.

or he doesn't like the taste of plastic

Voting this hot, went into local store and they're still priced up at £1.79. There wasn't any on the shelf, but saw some in one of their loading cages they have, so decided to open the pack there.

Definitely showing up at 89p at the till. Good spot guys..
