I always assumed the normal sausages were entirely meat-free tbh.
Anyone tried these? Are they what Greggs use in their vegan sausage, cheeze and bean bakes? (edited)
They appear to be made of "wheat protein", so I assume that's wheat gluten. The Greggs ones seem to be soya based (although water and rapeseed oil come higher up the ingredients list)
These are decent. Have that similar taste to the "meat" versions but a bit more herby. Wish they weren't just in Sainsburys though...mine's a good walk away!
Taste the same and you don’t have to guess what might be in them. Solid if you want this kind of grub. Thanks OP.
