KEEP CALM AND CURRY ON Poundland is selling Heinz CURRY ketchup

a 400ml bottle of Heinz tomato ketchup would set you back between £1.50 and £2 at Morrisons, Tesco and Asda, & this is 465g
So, at just £1 this rare flavour is a real bargain.
But, it might not be around for long.
In their post, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK said that as an imported product the flavour may only be available for a limited time , and could be gone quickly.

Collectors edition, very rare. Hold on to this and I guarantee it'll be worth a £1 in a few years if still in date

Never had it, but I'd imagine it's similar to McDonalds Sweet Curry dip. Probably a bit more tomato-y, but that already tastes a bit like ketchup with a curry twang to it.

Your right it's not rare, I've been buying this for years mainly for Chicken Nuggets.

Never had McDonalds Sweet Curry dip. It's rare I go to McDonalds.
Didn't Heinz Curry Sauce used to be brown? That sauce looks red and tomatoey.
What flavour is this “curry”?

Maybe just a hint of curry, which would make the taste quite pleasant actually.

Yeah me too, I remember back 15 years ago I'd go there at least 3 times a week and only when I tasted a steak burger from a Grilled Steak House I just couldn't go back and eat McDs tasteless burgers, I do maybe once every 6 weeks or so pick up a box of Nuggets.
Weirdos...
I have family in south-west Germany and curried ketchup is everywhere and bloody lovely if this tastes the same. Goes amazing with bratwurst and crispy onions
Currywurst. Yummy.

Actually, I wasn't imagining it, this one is "Heinz Curry Sauce Classic" and I took a picture of it in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow store yesterday. Though it looks red, it's actually brown (I'm sure there's a joke in that statement but I won't go there!)38622531-X5SO9.jpgSo this tomatoey "Curry Ketchup" must be different.

You can tell I don't buy Curry Ketchup

Weirdly, as I've got older my tastes have changed. I was all about Tomato, now it's HP all the way (ignoring the politics of changing the place of manufacture/alleged recipe changes).

Talking about tastes as you get older... I used to hate smoked bacon when I was younger & now I can’t go back to unsmoked! It’s a shame that not many breakfast cafes use it as I LOVE IT
