Mine's well into 2011

I will be getting a few of these. If the missus is cooking it's a godsend! (_;)

Tomato sauce is one of many things that seem to taste the same whether 30p or £3.00.Freezing cold for me.

Exactly maybe you should be a bit more picky about dates and where you buy it from and anyway it's only a best before end not a use by so as long as it's not gone blue keep using it. ffs vinegar, salt and spices are all preservatives anyway so it's not likely to go off anytime soon lol

errr no. Having said that the discount Tesco brand is very nice some of them just taste like vinegar

How come years ago when NOBODY kept ketchup, HP sauce, salad cream, mayonnaise etc in the fridge, it NEVER went off. Has anyone ever had an experience of ketchup or brown sauce going off? I'm sure it will last a year quite happily. The only thing is, that must be a MASSIVE bottle and awkward to handle!

I always think Heinz tomato sauce is a bit on the sweet side. It's a good point about it going off though; it's only recently that I noticed the 'Once opened refrigerate' instructions on the sides of sauce bottles.

lol - i can't believe people think it will go off anytime soon Rich44 hit the nail on the head. I've had one of these before and just kept an old squeezy 500ml and replenished as and when needed.

And I never keep it in the fridge. ;-)

does anyone know where to get the huge 5kg ones?

Yes, Makro.

cheaper doesnt mean hot bull....if a 1kg ketchup is £8 in tesco and £5 in asda..is asda ketchup hot?

Expiry date Dec 2011 on mine.
Got three - excellent deal, the small ones were almost the same price - these are massive bottles and Heinz tomato ketchup IMO is one thing that has kept of a consistent quality. Thanks for the deal, if you love ketchup stock up..

its has to be binned 4/6 weeks after you open it, check the label
