Just a word of caution, please check your bill when you check out. After i bought mine i noticed that the item has scanned at the full price (may be the computers were not updated). If this happens just go to the customer service and let them fix ti.

When u put catch up I thought it was a specific promotion, you know old labels and they are catching up on the new ones!!!!

Remember you can ask customer services at Tesco's for DOUBLE the difference on price mistakes through the till ;-)

Not as good as the poundland 2 glass bottles for £1 or Netto 1 glass bottle for 49p offers which are already posted which end up giving you a lot more ketchup than this offer

My local poundland doesn't stock this.
They only have the squeezy bottle, and its the one with a twist of garlic. Doesn't seem to be too popular either.

I think this was perhaps a mis-price in the specific store the OP visited.

The ketchup is on offer until 24/02/2009, but at £1.09 per bottle.

Note that this is the 570g top down bottle. They don't appear to stock a 550g version in my local stores.

That's how much it was in my local Tesco last night. The offer included the normal & low salt ketchup and normal & light salad cream.

Catch up? lol.

This is actually a far better deal, the OP should have received £2.20 back (double the difference of £1.10 overcharge) and should therefore have been paid £1.13 to take it home.

I used to enjoy the days of free goods in Tesco with their old R&R policy..... those were the days....

I had the same problem on Sunday in Tesco with the price scanning(tesco Bolton). The problem was the last couple of weeks they had the reduced salt and sugar TK for 97p. They changed the product over but not the sign so the normal TK scanned at full price. Yesterday the sign had been changed to the new price of just over a quid.

I checked in two tesco stores (hammersmith and osterley) and in store the product is advised at £ 0.97 and not £ 1.09.

I know that lidl and netto may have a better deal but many of us are not fortunate enough to have all stores around you (another indirect expense of living in central london...). So

What's the deal Lidl have on Heinz ketchup? :?

There are 8 Netto stores located withinh the M25

Me too - I abused it so much, one of the managers banned me for life from all Tesco's stores!! (Unforceable!)

Anyway - Double tag works better on many occasions (when less than half price) so agree with Kudos, £2.20 should be in xyz123's pocket by now!
