I believe this is the cheapest the physical copy has ever been and it appears to sell out very quickly since it was released in December. Also this is an Xbox One X Enhanced game that has proved to be very popular on the Xbox store.

Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your neighbor's house to figure out what horrible secrets he's hiding in the basement. You play against an advanced AI that learns from your every move. Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There'll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? The Neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.

Reviews were not to kind on this. But actually want to try it, looks like a game I would like, despite the negative reviews.
Rubbish
My lad absolutely loves this and he's had me sat watching him on occasion

It's not my kind of game. Heat added, cheapest I've seen.
It’s not terrible, but dayum, try completing it without a guide. Totally not obvious what you need to do
Sub £10 game probably game with gold fodder
It's truly awful and very unintuitive. Couldn't recommend.
My boy (8) used to watch the usual youtubers play this, he really wanted it. Got him it for Christmas, and although he loves playing it, I couldn't believe how quickly he completed it. I'm sure with future updates, they may add another house or two, but short game for the money

You don’t think he finished it quickly due to watching youtubers?

Precisely the problem with games like this and a bit odd that the developers let YouTubers' play the entire game for everyone to see everything that happens. I know way too much about this game from sitting there with my son who watches YouTube let's plays all the time, seems tedious. I thought everyone had moved on to Subnautica now anyway, that's actually a game I'd like to give a try.

It’s not really that odd at all. The YouTubers and Twitch streamers give games massive publicity especially new games. A lot of the huge success of games like PubG, Fortnite and Overwatch are down to the fact that they are showcased through these mediums particularly at the start of their lifecycles. Both PubG and Fortnite have set records for over 3m concurrent gamers and that’s just on Steam. Twitch in particular is absolutely massive amongst young gamers and the sales generated by that publicity massively outweighs any negatives from it.

I didn't say I thought them giving them the game was odd full stop, it makes sense and I'm entirely aware of how well games do as a result. I said letting them play the entire game was odd. It leaves little for people who buy it to discover and spoils any surprises. It would make more sense for them to play a demo that stops half way.

Maybe, but tbf, if he didn't watch them play it, he probably wouldn't have a clue what to do in it, probably better trying to figure it out himself though. The Devs know which popular youtubers are watched by millions of kids, give them the games early, kids watch them, kids want the game.....good advertising for the game companies, more hits for the Youtubers....

I’ve no problem with any of the streamers, devs, kids watching etc but complaints about the game being short when you already know the answers is wrong.
*Puts old old man hat on*
eeee back in my day we didn’t have youtubers and it took me 4 score and 32 years to finish monkey island.

But these videos were on YouTube before the official release, so wouldn't have known how long the game was (beta on pc)....no one had played it on Xbox one, we pre ordered so got it on release. Hopefully they will add more content, you can spend 100 hrs plus on a game like Fallout, so £25 for this isn't great value imo

Ah. You've learned the lesson of not pre ordering.
