First post so hopefully no errors. Helly Hansen buoyancy aid. Normally around £30 but if you play around with sizes and colours some are around the £14-£15 mark on amazon with free delivery. I was only looking as I bought the sevylor tahiti plus kayak HUKD deal. Good brand and could potentially save a life.

these wont stop you drowning if unconscious
But these have a place where life jackets are not appropriate, depending on what you're doing, so your sweeping statement is inaccurate.
Yes, totally agree, thanks. As you say, these are great if expecting to move in the water/swim, such as windsurfing. My younger kid's one has additional flotation around neck/behind head anyway:
Thanks OP, heat given. I didn't explain my reasoning in my initial post as I was then looking at this deal as needed an additional aid for my older child and didn't want to miss it!
mods on high alert on this site of late
apologies anyway for being harsh
Our brief "exchange" wasn't anywhere near as bad a lot of others I've seen!
very true
Was £30 at end of July

yawn
- coming up under the sail wearing a bouyancy aid could, ironically, drown you
I've been there (well, almost, obviously, drowned under the sail as a kid)! My post should have stated "learning windsurfing", but my Swype keyboard sometimes lags a little when I'm going fast!
unlike you obviously

Thanks OP.
