And it's getting worse. So much Regatta and Trespass junk littering the site now. The RRPs were always inflated but the discounts were still good, but now the website seems to primarily be trying to peddle crap brands at crap prices.
If it were my money for £52 I'd want taped seams for starters. Thats Waterproofing 101.
If the deal works for you great - but you can do WAY better for less if you take off your defend your deal to the death goggles!!
You are looking at this wrong and the living bodyment of why these sort of sales work for the seller.
Ignore the saving and ask if you can get a better jacket for around the same price - the 'saving' has blinded you to the alternatives
If they have 3000 of these for sale with such a 'reduction' then the item was over-priced to begin with.
Talking of getting this the wrong way round, they haven't got 3000 of this jacket to sell . If you actually read the OP you would realise there's a whole section of this stuff that the code works on and the code is valid on the first 3000 orders from that section. I even put it in capitals

And I'm assuming you enter every deal highlighting a brand name item of clothing and make the same comment? That would be fun for everyone wouldn't it? If you don't like brand name stuff why torture yourself and others by actually opening the thread at all?
Anyway, you still haven't provided a site that sells this jacket cheaper. I'm assuming you can't? Highlighting a certain product that is cheaper than elsewhere is kind of what this site is about. No? Although with 4 deals in 10 years here probably you don't get it? (edited)

Like I said, WAY too personal.
I always check the deal history of people who belly ache on other people's deals as invariably they have contributed so little to the site. TBF you have 4 deals more than most of them so so well done on that. There are those that contribute and those that denigrate from the comfort of the sidelines. I'm so glad I'm the former even though I'm by no means prolific compared to some.
PS check out the saying in my avatar and see if it makes a difference?

What they are trying to say is this isn’t worth the money even in the sale. It’s not a good bit of kit..they just went about it wrong.
they should of said still over priced for what it is imo.. I would tend to agree. I would rather spend more on a quality product.

I genuinely wasn't going to reply for fear of extending this miserable experience that this deal has turned into and the fact that, compared to plinkyplonkywonkeydonkey (PPWD) (BTW, it really is a great username) your response is much more reasonable, respectful and informed and measured in its wording. But I feel I have to as you too are falling into the same trap as PPWD in the sense that you are not getting what the site is about. This deal is for a specific Helly Hansen (i.e. brand name) jacket at a price that can't be beaten anywhere else. It's not a deal on a no name jacket that is cheaper and allegedly better value or i would have posted that. It's basically for posters who are probably into HH stuff and this is the cheapest price out there. This surely isn't a difficult concept.
If PPWDs approach to deals was adopted site wide that would mean basically just about EVERY brand name deal would turn into this nonsense thread. Seriously, can you just imagine? Look on the home page every second of the day and you will invariably see deals posted for discounted brand name products that are probably still more than 'comparable' non brand name products so would you go into every deal and state what PPWD did here? Carnage.
And here's the really galling bit, PPWD had ample opportunity to post that link (there are posts on here from me including me asking him to post it please that it would seem he's reported and had removed) and chickened out. Why? I only respect ppl who can back up their claims. And contribute. This isn't a chicken and egg situation. If nobody posted deals there would be no site so we know what came first here (edited)
Thanks for the reply, I get this is the cheapest for the specific jacket but the cheapest is still overpriced for what it is. That’s what I was saying. I’m happy to spend more for decent quality. But at this price point you have regatta jackets which are bad quality and rubbish make but match HH in those terms.
I see where you are both coming from they could of been more respectful, but you don’t understand that this is still overpriced rubbish..
But I do appreciate people who post deals.
