Help Donate to Grenfell Tower Families

Im sure everyone has heard the news, I went to tesco to get some basic food and nappies for the families and donated. Im glad to see the community pull together to help everyone that is in need.

Tesco value has a large range of things if anyone is interested, thought I would try and spread the love.

Wishing all the best for everyone

p.s. The staff member at Tesco was kind enough to give me discount as she knew it was being donate to the families.

Why would you not let it be? Have you no compassion at all?

Don't give her the attention. The fact she even mentions terrorists at all in a post about a tragic accident shows just how vile she is. Of course it wasn't terrorists, why even mention terrorism.

Hey maybe your right, I did this really quick whilst on the move but I know people look at deals more often so hoping I could spread the word

Quite the opposite. I'm guessing it's only viable to donate food, clothing etc if you live in the locality (unless Tesco is doing a "buy locally and we'll send it to them" service)

Far better to link to their JustGiving / Official donation site, as it will have a far greater impact.

I think this is the "official" JustGiving page (or at least it's the one linked to by The Metro): justgiving.com/cro…ell

PS Realise JustGiving are a bunch of thieving barstewards with their charges, but that's where the fund raising page is.

Thank you, I dont live too far from there but I can see how it has impacted even my area. Its a horrible thing that has happened

It is not a deal, but there is a point to put this in the deal panel. Just like breaking news when you are watching TV.

Only if Tesco was worth hundreds and hundreds of millions of pounds, they could donate THEIR value products free of charge to help support those affected.

Folks people have died and many are missing family's have lost there homes and you are all on about should this post be here or about the vile katie hopkins? As has been said in the post local donations of food clothes etc are amazing so why not donate even £1 to the online donation page to help as this is just not about food etc people will need help for a long time

And build more houses for the people, this country needs more houses for god sake !!!

What a ridiculous and insensitive thing to say given what has happened. Just file it under miscellaneous discussions!!

Are you really that insensitive?

Personally, I would say it is a massive deal to those who have lost their lives / homes / family and friends in this tragedy. Best all round to put it somewhere where it will receive MAXIMUM impact to help all those who desperately need support at this time of loss.

What's this got to do with tesco exactly. Utter nonsense this whole thing. who says they need tons of tesco value crap. Let the house insurance and government sort them out. Tesco are big enough that they can donate themselves

I would like to know if the new cladding on the outside of the building helped the fire spread so quickly.

"Fix up".......what sort of stupid phrase is that?

if I was in this fire and then finally got a new home and someone got me a load of tesco value stuff I'd tell you to shove it up your ***

They are big companies therefore can raise awareness faster and can afford to give some time to raise some money. Everyone should be greatful for this.

10 million pounds to enhance these buildings, would be cheaper to build small houses im sure.

Can't spell this morning but warms the heart when people do show their humanity.

Wow , really ?
I'm sure everyone involved in this awful tragedy will appreciate the help, support and donations people are offering, no matter what is on the label.

Presumably your moral compass points in the same direction as this vile specimen.

Imagine how many houses you have to build to replace those buildings.
10m is not that much these days plus you need more land as houses occupy more space.
Having said that i wouldnt like to live in those big buildings.

120+ houses in London for £10m? Good one.

Just heard the relief organizers on the radio, they said they have more than enough donations now, what they really need is manpower

Point taken london property extemely expensive, might work in other areas of the country .well done to all emergency services.

It is a problem when we are trying to house the world, countries with more land should be taking in more imigrants, if another world war breaks out and we suddenly started to struggle to import food and recourses, then 60 percent of this countries population would be dead of mainly starvation within 6 months, we should not be covering any more of our green land in houses as we are leaving ourselves very vunerable.

Indeed. They need people to sort out the donations. London & Londoners are at its best when times like this. So sad to even look at the pictures...

The sad possibility is that many entire families may not have survived at all. I don't suppose the re-fit of the Houses of Parliament will scrimp on the sprinklers and functional fire alert system. This is mass death by cuts. By all accounts, the fire strategy was 'compartmentalisation' meaning that fire breaks were supposedly installed to limit fire damage to sections of the building without further spreading. I guess they reasoned that limiting fire outbreaks to sections of the building would lead to acceptable numbers of deaths.

Like many, I suspect that the fire was spread by the combustible external cladding. It was a warm night, people would have had external windows open. The cladding was alight on the outside. Opening their doors to the communal areas and stairwells could have drawn extremely hot air and fire through the open windows into their flats, rapidly setting light to combustible materials inside. Many of these poor souls didn't stand a chance. It's simply terrifying.

I don't like the woman, but I don't want her (or anyone for that matter) … I don't like the woman, but I don't want her (or anyone for that matter) dead. Ignore her. She thrives on reactions such as yours. Let her shout herself hoarse and she might eventually **** off to somewhere that only has 56k dial up.
