This is very confusing. The Henry with two speed settings should have a picture of a green flower at the end of the word Henry on the vacuum. It is not on the main pic on the Tesco site. but it's on the second pic.

No, it's not. The two speed Henry has a picture of a green flower beside … No, it's not. The two speed Henry has a picture of a green flower beside the word Henry on the "lid".

Not a bad price for this "cute" hoover..
Don't expect it to do miracles though (I fight with mine on a weekly basis). Tbh I miss my old dyson
No brand loyalty, the brushes and baglessness really helps

The two speed function is a joke. The 1st setting is barely able to pick crumbs off a hard floor in a single pass! The second setting is the exact same speed as the original Henry Hoover.
All this means is instead of just pressing the on switch you need to wait a few seconds and press the turbo

An altogether "meh" from me

Yep thats the autosave one - you can press button to increase power if needed. I bought one from Viking Direct.

Why are Henry's so good?

Pros - Excellent suction power, huge bags so you don't need to change them often. You can even use it without a bag. Very durable - difficult to break, unlikely to break down. Very long cable, so you can hoover all of a flat without having to change socket. Very good for large hard floor areas - lino, vinyl, laminate, varnished floors etc.

Cons - Not great for hoovering carpets as it doesnt have rolling brushes to help lift the pile. It lifts stuff not bad, but not so much for hairs. Heavy to drag around furniture, it catches on the corners of everything, peeking cheekily at you.

This deal sucks.

Probably because it's got a smiley face on it.

So overall Dyson's are still better?

I guess you got to decide if you want to pay the 2, 3, 4 times more for a Dyson.

how does this compare to the HVR200A? Just ordered on amazon @ 89.99 is it worth cancelling and going for this?
Not bad if you're on a budget. Glad I opted for a Miele with 10 year guarantee though.
Bought this for my mum, she was disappointed that the hose didn't reach all the way up the staircase. Normal sizestaircase, yet she has to pt the Henry at the top to do the top bit. Not very safe
These were £69 (inc VAT) in my local Costco (Sheffield) when I was in last weekend

I haven't bought it yet, I can spend more but I prefer something bagless with great suction power. Any pointers?
Crap hoover, has no rotatng brush so eventually your carpets will be disgusting, ok for hard floors but for carpets no way.

Well that's good for you but the rest of us will have to pay £25 for it. How'd you get it free? Might be worth paying extra.

Good hoover, only thing that pees me off where do you store a 30ft python when your not using it?
Bought one of these for similar price when on offer at Homebase. Using it while we renovate our house. No idea what it is like on carpets but for brick dust, sawdust and other general renovation type mess this thing has been brilliant. Much better than the industrial vacuum we borrowed from a friend.

Get some of the re-useable bags. Work really really well.

Poor vacuum, much better around.
