Having had the older model of this "1200w" I thought this would be not as powerful as this is 620w but to be honest I think this is better.

Sold my old used Henry last week for £90.00 used it for 6 months now I'm ordering this one with a hefty price saver

Just be thankful the EU has limited the amount of electricity you can use when vacuuming.

What are you going to spend the £4.50 profit on? X)

I got it for £50.00 last time so profit was £40.00 I didn't spend it I gave it to charity

im not sure if anyone else has noticed that the quality of these aren't what they used to be.

i've still got one going strong from 12 years ago, and when saw one purchased recently by someone I know, the quality isn't there no more, right from the packaging, through to the pipes, and heads.. definitely lower quality plastic.

As the worlds population increases and recources have to be shared more then quality will reduce on a lot of consumer goods, it is like baking a cake every week, as more people turn up for a slice the smaller you have to make each slice.

yeah but if things where made properly and solid in the first place then there wouldn't been a need for buying replacements nor spare parts therefore reducing the demand on resources , I think cheaper made products boil down to "product life cycle", lets be honest if companies made things to last a lifetime then they would go out of business.

You cannot be serious.?

Bear in mind this is the much weaker EU version, this is a Henry off the juice. The original one had 2 suction settings

Thankfully we will be out of that nonsense soon and companies will be able to sell us 1600 watt + monsters again. I'm all for energy efficiency but not when it comes at the expense of cleanliness, especially when it's a device which is not used constantly for long periods of time.

Mines being going years picks up lovely I'm told they use them in schools and offices and brothels

Fully agree, I bought an "Aerobed Extreme" single airbed about 10 years ago for about £60, built like a tank and still going strong (there's a video on YouTube somewhere of a horse jumping on one and it not popping).

Contacted them a couple of years ago to see if they did a double, only to be told "We stopped making them as we didn't sell many".

So it's more profitable for them to produce crap ones that end up on landfill after a couple of years.

Yes, it's a good way to get manufacturers to make more energy efficient machines. Same applies to light bulbs, cars and so on. Companies tend to go for the cheapest, least efficient & most profitable option given the chance.

Yes, I can confirm that they do use them in brothels. At least 3 in the Cardiff area

This has 2 power settings. It's also still very powerful, have to use mine in low and it's still heavy going.
