I bought this from amazon for 85 when i moved into new house in april which is all carpeted. it had mixed bag of reviews but i had heard much worse about dyson.

Anyway Really happy how much this sucks up, so powerfull, only downside is for the people who dont want a challenge when vaccuming. it is tough on carpets as it sooks them rite up but gets in deep so you may puff and pant a bit and get a sore back.

All in all a great little hoover

We're on our second one. The first lasted for about 15 years!

Had mine about 3 years, and it's a great hoover .

We like Henry. So much better than Hicks and Gillett!

Be careful of Henry, he's a greedy little beggar. He once ate an unopened packet of screws and my craft knife on the same day.

I usually get mine from Amazon Marketplace.

This is a good price for the Henry. Mine is about 6 years old and has very good suction etc. I also like the way you can reel in the cord and plug.

Hi , Is the only difference btw Hetty and Henry purely cosmetic?

Henry reduced from £99.99 to £84.99 at the moment. Will it go back up to £99.99 before the weekend?

No as it's listed at this price in the flyer for the 15% off weekend.

i have reserved online plan to pick up after work, there was no where to enter the 15% code if reserving for store pick up so it's come through at £84.99. Do you think they will take the 15% off when i pay or will i have trouble?

I'm pretty sure it'll still come up with the discount when you come to pay for it (I'm doing the same).
Theoretically if it doesn't, you could wait for them to put it back on the shelves and buy it with the discount! Or they'll likely be another on the shelf anyway.

EDIT: and to confirm I've just read while reserving- "The price you pay is the price of the product in store on the day of purchase. NOTE: 10% DAY & OTHER DISCOUNT DAYS: Please ensure you collect on the discount day to qualify for the price reduction. "

To a point raised in an earlier post- does anyone know if there's an actual difference between Henry and Hetty? Other than gender of course...

Yeah I've just seen read that on their site, that wasn't there this morning. Should be ok then. Thanks!

I can confirm that the only difference between Henry and Hetty is the colour. My daughters made me buy a Hetty.........

Thanks.
My fiancee made me buy one also... on my own while she was still at work

Got mine yesterday, gave it a quick go in the lounge, very happy.

Just got one tonight, £72.24, and wanted to add heat for this excellent post. Do I have to be a full member to add heat (I did something that just lets me add comments about 2 weeks ago.) ?

Thanks - old vacuum just keeps cutting out so have just popped down to Homebase and bought a Henry and stocked up on 20 Numatic Vacbags - all in £85
