Hi frozensun, click on the get deal link and you can see all the jars.
Thanks. Sadly I can only see the view from the side, not the top.
They are squared up top and the lid is black. hope that helps.
....and easier to get a teaspoon in, although Barts are the best designed (_;)
Depends where abouts in the country you are.
We dont have a massive world foods section in Carmarthen.
To be honest , I try to get all my herbs, spices and chilis when I come back to London.
Southall is where it's at (_;)
We don't all have world foods aisle in our stores. I checked your profile and you live in West Yorkshire. Thats a very ethnic place particularly Pakistani/Indian, so in cities, but it doesn't represent most of the UK.
Down here in Bath, we don't have an ethnic food isle - so yes representative of the local demographic.
I live in Liverpool, where 92%+ people are white (above average for the UK) and we have foreign food aisles in several Tesco Superstore/Extras.
I would hazard a guess that in the larger stores in most larger cities have these aisles, they are usually hidden at the back of the store though
We even have an American and Irish sections in my local Superstore.
Need some cinnamon and mixed spice for Christmas goodies
Great deal
Can be a lot cheaper, take coriander seeds for example, which I bought a bag of a few weeks ago in a Tesco delivery:
50p for 26g (19p/10g)
£1.09 for 300g (3.6p/10g)
Little tub is five times more expensive!
Unfortunately it's fairly awkward to have a whole large bag. The ease of a small jar is much more realistic (and looks nicer in a spice rack).
It's so awkward yeah I agree, not sure how I managed to get it out of the carrier bag it was delivered in, it's a damn pain every time I want something from it, must add on about 4 hours to my cooking preparation time (_;)
You seem to know an awful lot about 'normal' households, same as the demographic of West Yorkshire eh? lol
Dried herbs and spices last up to 4 years! I've got stuff in small jars from the Asda from about 6 years ago and they're still fine
I meant in terms of using it. Your kitchen must look lovely with a pile of 25 different bags of spices, rather than a nicely organised spice rack...
