Heat added for the post and wish I could add heat again for listing that lot !

gold start for effort !

Thanks for this, been needing to stock up for a while!

Time to replace the ones that are nearly empty. Thanks for posting.

Nice one I'll look online. I think they look nice in square top jars.

Can somebody link to a picture of the jar from above please?

Fantastic!

don't want to put a downer on it but a lot of those herbs are much cheaper if you buy them down the world foods aisle. ie cost/kilo

Depends where abouts in the country you are.
We dont have a massive world foods section in Carmarthen.

To be honest , I try to get all my herbs, spices and chilis when I come back to London.
Southall is where it's at (_;)

We don't all have world foods aisle in our stores. I checked your profile and you live in West Yorkshire. Thats a very ethnic place particularly Pakistani/Indian, so in cities, but it doesn't represent most of the UK.

Down here in Bath, we don't have an ethnic food isle - so yes representative of the local demographic.

Good deal, although these are always this price in Aldi, probably Lidl too. Much more of a selection though, which is nice.

Great job

Makes them about in line with Aldi/Lidl. These are also so much cheaper if you have an Asian shop/supermarket nearby.

I buy all mine from an ethnic shop (St Helen's Rd, Swansea), but they don't sell a sweet mixed spice for baking so will have to take advantage of this offer.

I live in Liverpool, where 92%+ people are white (above average for the UK) and we have foreign food aisles in several Tesco Superstore/Extras.

I would hazard a guess that in the larger stores in most larger cities have these aisles, they are usually hidden at the back of the store though

We even have an American and Irish sections in my local Superstore.

Can be cheaper in larger packets (world food aisle or Asian supermarkets) but 10+ large bags of herbs is not always practical for the average kitchen.

I noticed the deal earlier when doing my delivery for tomorrow so stocked up on a few.

Need some cinnamon and mixed spice for Christmas goodies

Great deal

Pity Saffron's not included...need to remortgage your house to buy that stuff!

Thanks useful post

Can be a lot cheaper, take coriander seeds for example, which I bought a bag of a few weeks ago in a Tesco delivery:

50p for 26g (19p/10g)

£1.09 for 300g (3.6p/10g)

Little tub is five times more expensive!

I know that many of the herbs & spices are ALOT cheaper in larger packets in the world food isles/stores etc..But to be fair, unless you regularly use lots of certain ones it can be a 'false economy'. Even if you empty the larger packs into airtight containers, over time the flavours can & will eventually diminish. Depending on how often you use them, it should make more sense to buy small & often (as this deal implies) to get the best flavour you can. HOT from me OP btw! Great Price

Hi WonderWoman lol I can't believe your name X) Its definitly true that for a normal house herbs and spices are not bought in bulk. Its cheaper if you do but who's using that much?

Great price. Just hope this is not a stock clearance because they are no longer going to produce their own brand spices. Our local Tesco used to do Tesco's own now they only stock Schwartz spices which are very expensive.

Unfortunately it's fairly awkward to have a whole large bag. The ease of a small jar is much more realistic (and looks nicer in a spice rack).

It's so awkward yeah I agree, not sure how I managed to get it out of the carrier bag it was delivered in, it's a damn pain every time I want something from it, must add on about 4 hours to my cooking preparation time (_;)

You seem to know an awful lot about 'normal' households, same as the demographic of West Yorkshire eh? lol

Dried herbs and spices last up to 4 years! I've got stuff in small jars from the Asda from about 6 years ago and they're still fine

I meant in terms of using it. Your kitchen must look lovely with a pile of 25 different bags of spices, rather than a nicely organised spice rack...
