Refreshed 18th Sep 2018 (Posted 1st Sep 2018)Local
Have used this offer twice over the past two days and saw it was expired on HUKD - now back available.

So for £2.95 you get any weight package up to 5kg and any length up to 1.2m

Anywhere in the UK

Insured up to £20 as standard

This is ONLY available when you use the self service machines in certain Hermes shops.

You can easily search for stores with this service by searching location with the print, send and return option checked.

I know there will be people with bad experiences with Hermes but for those wanting cheap postage this is great.

Parcelforce was going to charge me £13.90 to send a coffee machine - Hermes was £2.95!

Hope it’s some use to someone!

New services added!

In addition you can now:

Add different insurance options.
Add a signature for 80p
Send something heavier than 5kg for £5.95

You do have to now state what is inside but essentially they have broadened the in store options!

If they use HERMES then they shouldn't be selling on eBay. Simple as.

The most idiotic comment ever.
Don't use Hermes, we ordered a printer from John Lewis, was being delivered before 4pm , then an email to say it will be delivered between 5 and 9 pm, only to receive an email 01/09/2018 19:25 Delivery attempt made, allow 24h on 03/09/2018. Rubbish we are in the kitchen by the Front door. No on called or attempted anything. Just called John Lewis and cancelled and now reserved at Argos to pick up tomorrow at my local Sainsbury. Second time I have had hassle with JL, the last time a Range Cooker, Argos ended up being cheaper and delivered in a shorter time and don't use Hermes!

Update, m y wife had a go at me as i ordered pans from George asda another HUKD , but its ok they delivered it, but not to me, they sent a photo of a house that is not mine or anywhere near mine ! omg

vital information.something i definitely did not know.hot from me
This hasn't gone away, it's a standard price for their instore printing. You do need to make sure the drop off point is on their list and not all normal drop off points are included.

The link is myhermes.co.uk/our…tml at the moment yours seems to divert to hermes returns and alexa?

This is true - as mentioned in the post the easiest thing is to search the shops that have this facility. It seems incredible that for printing at home for a parcel up to 5kg is still so expensive with Hermes - even for a parcel you take to the shop yourself and print from your own printer!

used this many times but be aware the max insurance is only £20.
Local hermes driver has stolen 3 of my recent deliveries and falsified they attempted delivery on multiple occasions. CCTV is the key here with these crooks. If you're looking to contact them with a problem you might as well save the effort and as it will be futile.

Max, so you can't pay extra for more expensive items?

There is no option to increase comp. Maximum is £20.

That's why it's cheap. They make their money back by only paying £20 max in compensation.

Even with insurance don't expect them to pay out.

Totally agree. These guys are a sham and customer service non existent. Something goes wrong as has with several of my parcels, good luck in contacting and claiming. Most recently they tried to charge me extra claiming a book I sold on eBay which weighed 500 grams was over 10 kilos. Buyer beware!

Received great service from Hermes. Our Clarks shoes came on Tue, we were away for a week. Driver left a note. Than he came back on Wed, same story. A neighbour came, took a picture of the slips, we rung the number to ask them to hold on with delivery for a few days, no answer. Attempted delivery next day, on Thursday and sent the parcel to the depot on Fri. Us back on Mon, the parcel was sent back to Clarks in that day. No common sense...
My experience has so far been good. Only sent 2 parcels though..

But the deal surely is you are saving £3.54 for the same service you would pay £6.49 for online and not having to waste your ink? Granted you can add additional insurance online if you desire?

For those of us selling on eBay (only in £1 MVF may I add) it does prove our postage and track delivery so in this respect it’s a tick in the box.

Why are people still using Hermes? They are the worst delivery company! Constantly stealing packages and messing you about.

I highly doubt that. Clearly you work for the company as a driver.

In all fairness I found this by accident as I was in holiday and had to send an eBay parcel while away - didn’t have a printer so popped into a local Hermes shop. Found the deal, looked good so shared with everyone hoping to do some good - I did check HUKD and the old deal was expired so hey presto! No malice intended and if it means that much to you my deal runs out on 14th October so feel free to repost!
I always phone the sender when I order to make sure they DON'T use Hermes

worst company I've ever had to deal with
In fairness I think its down to your local driver, in another town I used to live in my Macbook Pro from a Currys eBay Outlet deal went "missing" at the point of local delivery. (Super annoying as I couldnt get a replacement only refund)
But our local driver seems the total opposite, delivers around the same time every time which is quite handy, takes pics of the parcel if its left and gets a signature anyway even when it isnt required. Low value items this is great and also saves me long lines at the post office as literally no one else seems to use this terminal in my local shop.

I have been burned twice by Hermes, and never got my money back.

Is this from your own personal experiences?
I sent an xbox with them and they smashed it to bits but they did payout, but I wouldn't use them for expensive or fragile things. I do use this cheap service for low value ebay items and so far no probs.
Pay peanuts and get monkeys. I would rather pay a little extra to make sure my parcel arrives at its destination undamaged. Also I have had such bad customer service from Hermes. They really have a couldn't care less attitude.

No. Ups actually!

They lost 2 of mine and other people that i know. Was fully insured but they need to see a receipt for item to claim.
Worst parcel delivery company out their - use them at your own risk. Also their web chat service is horrific, i would rather hit my head off a wall than deal with these guys. The only way to get things properly resoved is to escallate via email to their senior management team. These guys are an endless pain in the hoop. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
To curtail confusion when buying from Ebay..ect..,I contact the seller and if they use Hermes I decline the sale until they agree to post with Royal Mail.Hermes are..
