Its the region 2 + 4 set, which will work fine on dvd players in the uk.. but is generally aimed at the australian market so might be a tiny bit different (slightly different packaging) but its £29.99! who cares! :w00t:

Love Heroes!

I bought region 1 set from Amazon.com for £24 inc delivery , took 3 weeks and I didn't get charged customs - a bit of a gamble though

where does it say that?:?

When has anyone ever been charged Customs/VAT on things from CD-Wow or BangCD? Never.

I bought this (Region 1) off DVD Pacific (Superb company). Only paid £25 for it. But on this occasion I got done £13 import tax. Never had that problem before.
From abroad need to state on packaging it is a gift.

If you do get charged £13.50 seems huge... its normally up to £17 is vat free so you get charged vat on £12 which is around £3 at most... and thats of course if you do get charged.. never happened to me on dvd's from abroad

The royal Mail handling fee is £8, so add vat on top and you would get around that figure

I've been stung quite a few times when buying from DVD Pacific.

I stopped using them when they leaked my account details and a company called diage.com took £18 off my debit card.

Never ever got my money back and the sad thing was dvd pacific accepted liability but did not bother to refund me even though it was their fault.

Has anyone used playusa.com? From the same company that does Play.com, likewise says free delivery, but I can't see if that applies only to the US or what? It appears to be based on both sides of the Atlantic giving a US and UK address.

CD-Wow terms & conditions say:

Hong Kong Post arranges the payment of VAT and or any other taxes and … Hong Kong Post arranges the payment of VAT and or any other taxes and duties which may apply to UK H M Customs and Excise on your behalf FROM THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID. You will not be asked to pay any additional sums upon delivery / collection.

That's a whole lot different to the Bang-CD lottery - but Bang-Cd are £10 cheaper at present and you may not be charged import duties....

...plus it appears Bang-CD may be shipping straight-away the official R2 release is 10th December.

The email i got says £29.99 VAT inclusive.
So shouldnt get an extra suprise on the doorstep?

Anyone received any despatch email about this item yet??
