It is only 11 episodes, whereas the series 1 was 22.

So should be even cheaper and will be so in the not too distant future.;-)

Yeah season 1 was £36.99. Season one was actually realeased as part one and part two of the whole season. so it was as follows

Season 1: Part 1 = 11 episodes
Season 1: Part 2 = 11 episodes
Season 2: = 11 episodes
Season 3: = 11 episodes (when released)

...or if you have a multi-region dvd player, amazon.com have it for $24.99 plus shipping, probably about £15 total!

...ah just noticed the downside, the US version isn't released until 26th August!!

It's only half a series, and thanks to the writers strike a pretty poor one full of plot holes and very poor pacing.

No I won't :whistling:

...But I didn't vote it cold, as if someone does want it, then it's the cheapest going.

Just really disappointed after the brilliant first series

The writer's strike only affected Season 4 which only just finished airing in America a month or so back. Season 3 has 24eps just like Season 2 whereas Season 1 has 22.

No, definitely not. Did you see the "Heroes Unmasked" programme aired straight after the finale? The producer/actors/crew all stated that series 2 was cut short by the strike and the last 2 episodes (at least) rewritten to shorten and end the series.

************************************ SPOILER WARNING *******************************************************

The ending in the finale was originally that the test tube dropped and released the virus infecting everyone. The flying Petrelli brother (forget his name) dies from infection (not being shot) etc etc. That is an example of how much it changed. Originally this virus release was not the end, it was merely a mid series episode.

LotusJas,

I have totally got my wires crossed here. I thought the thread title said House, rather than Heroes. If you see my link above you'll notice it points to an episode guide for House.

Heroes 2 being cut short does make sense since that defintely has only recently finished, unlike season 2 of House which finished two years ago :-D

Series 1 & 2 is available for about £38 all in (sorry I can't remember the exact cost, but i ordered it a while ago) from dvdmd.com. Its not a UK company, but supplied region 0 discs that will play on any player, and only took about 7 days to arrive. Does not come with any postcards though!
