Heuer Monza 40th anniversary edition at Goldsmiths for £3150

Have been eyeing this up for a while and pulled the trigger at this price. The Heuer heritage seem to be better quality than standard tag. This isn't an investment piece but as its limited edition Heuer should hold value better than a standard tag. Very good design titanium grade 5, with carbide coating, sapphire crystal. Movement is caliber 17 so not an integrated chronograph, wouldn't have bought at list but at this price a solid deal....and its beautiful

would love this watch
Damn ugly timepiece. Stick to my Longines for £2600 less.

I’ll never get the chunky watch thing. Wore a Tissot I got as a gift some 20 years back and i couldn’t cope with it’s presence on my wrist. Tried a diesel out for a few weeks a couple of years ago and that’s in the random rubbish drawer with the tissot and a skagen.
My casio wave ceptor is just fine.

I Know what you mean. 38mm apple steel daily... and maybe an AP jumbo or two for occasions 😜

Hmm, maybe, but it's got some character... the holes in the leather strap is my main issue...

I like the look of this watch, though I have to agree with pwel, about the strap. Also at 42mm its smaller than I like, even though my daily watch is 42mm, I do prefer it to be a little larger.

At a £1000 cheaper than other highstreet Jewellers, I'll give it some heat.

Cancel and reorder it's bluddy worth it that's for sure.
Not a big fan of cushion-shaped watches tbh.
(And it’s Heuer - pronounced “hoyer”. If you’re spending £3k on a watch you probably want to get it right.)

Actually only 2% on sale items, although even that's £63 TCB
Can get boss orange for £50 somewhere on HUKD
Go into a reputable dealer and explain about the cash back. I managed to get 10% off a tag Monaco at goldsmiths even though Quidco small print says tag Heuer are excluded from cash back offer.

It's the sound you make when being sick after spending this much on a watch lol
Well it is a 40th Anniversary watch - styled in the '70s!

Lighter weight = higher speed!
I was going to buy couple for us, but then decided to use this hard earned cash for deposit for the house.

£6k deposit for a house. Wow! Must be a cheap house.

I think they went a little too far with this strap; although in 78' I was only one year old, I think it was on its way out this sort of style...I like the watch tho, it will fit nice with my carbon fibre supercar interior on a proper fast ride
Goldsmiths, Trafford Centre is the worse jewellers I've ever encountered. Stay away.
