Anyone know if these are any good?? Been a few negative comments on the site about the quality of the inexpensive solar lights.

Should be called Solar Glows really.

Best to say, if it's pitch dark you can see where they are, and that's all!

like Jerry said...99% of them don't really give off more than a glow. Few more to choose from here robertdyas.co.uk/web…yes ...as posted earlier in the year

:-D yeah, I've had some of these and that really does describe them well!

you should look into solar spotlights.... think they were £15 for two at woolies last time i checked.... i have the focus diy ones and they are good...

Thanks for the pointers everyone - will give these a miss and have a look at those suggested.

I got a couple of superb colour changing solar lights for £5.99 each from my local Total petrol station (apparently it's a nationwide offer). RRP is allegedly £12.99. Made to look like lava lamps, hard to describe but can be seen here (they are asking £14.99 each!):

The wife loves them (not the normal reaction to one of my impulse buy gadgets, I have to say!)

Bought a couple from wilkinsons and bought some from the pound store which where £3 cheaper...the ones from the pound store are twice as bright as the others! luck of the draw i think,
