Good spot hot for me

this was posted 3 days ago at £14.99p so a £1 cheaper is even better, great item as ours arrived Saturday, very dinky.

I ordered one when it was posted a week ago for the same price.
Mine didn't come with a lanyard though. I don't know if it should, or if there is just a mistake in the product description.

USB drives were already small enough... at this size, they go beyond the realms of convenient, and just become more likely to be lost =p

you can always attach 'em to something bigger. i love my 32GB picodrive because it's small enough to attach to my keyring without any hassle whatsoever :-)

If you think a usb drive is cute, I'd hate to see your kids !

If you would be so kind could you run a .....hdtach.... test on it so we can see some real speed values. cheers

does it have a keyring attachment? anyone know?

they come with a keyring attatchment, like a open close hook.

I have the 8GB

Bought one the other week for the car stereo. Hardly sticks out at all. Don't know how you could get it on a keyring of any description though.

Hmm. I have the 8GB as well but there is no attachment. Maybe there are multiple versions; how confusing!

Anyone know if this is compatible with 360?

Voted hot and ordered, hopefully it'll work with my PS3, can't see why not.

EDiT: Mine has arrived, and didn't come with the lanyard even though advertised. Oh well! I'll report back the speeds once tested.

Right, I've just finished testing mine using USBDeview for the synthetic read/write test, and DiskBench for the real life speeds. I've tested both using FAT32 and NTFS, performing each test 3 times for each format. The file for the DiskBench tests was 1.4GB in size.

FAT32
USBDeview
Average Write Speed: 9.19 MB/s
Average Read Speed: 17.33 MB/s

DiskBench
Average Write Speed: 7.34 MB/s
Average Read Speed: 15.22 MB/s

NTFS
USBDeview
Average Write Speed: 6.64 MB/s
Average Read Speed: 16.92 MB/s

DiskBench
Average Write Speed: 10.97 MB/s
Average Read Speed: 14.90 MB/s

Considering the manufacturer claims write speeds upto 9 MB/s and read speeds upto 30 MB/s, I don't think the write speeds are too bad! But the read speeds could be better Perhaps they will be for smaller files, I'll have to test further.

Looks like there may be google.co.uk/images?q=hp+usb+flash+drive+v165w&hl=en&prmd=ivns&source=lnms&tbs=isch:1&ei=iNdZTcmlMdmAhAed4-CoDQ&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CBQQ_AUoAQ&biw=1899&bih=849

Anyway, my 16Gb one [not yet opened] doesn't have a lanyard enclosed either. It does have the little plastic loop as shown in the pics though..

would appear to have gone to 14.99

These are back at £13.99 now.

Mine arrived today. Holy crap this is small, I didn't realise based on the picture, but it's like the size of 2 finger nails. Pity they don't do a 32gb or 64gb yet.
It'll be great for transporting or as a utility kit, but it's not really enough for media storage, though I am tempted to get another one just for the sake of it.
