great price for a wireless printer

any idea what ink cartridge prices are like for HPs compared to competitors?

The ink is not that cheap for these, what you save on the printer you pay out on the ink.

Thanks, any idea which brand is best for cheap ink?

Just seen black + colour cartridges for c.£15 for this on amazon (for them both), is that not a good price? Ive never owned a printer so dont know how much ink should cost but I know thats where manufacturers make their money!

Probably Epson

i think the ink isnt too bad 1 black cartridge on a hp printer lasted me 2 semesters of heavy black & White printing, but make sure u use the fast draft/ economical setting when u print or else ur ink will die fast

Mind you.
If you want cheap ink get a printer that can be fitted with a Continuous Ink Supply.

What the hell - that's really cheap for a wireless printer.
Hot.

...can anyone else order or just me having problems

ive ordered one. got the acknowledgement via email

just checked. it is low stock but stil can order

good stuff

There was probably one, they will keep accepting orders, then the orders will be cancelled. Usual Orange time wasting. Wish they would get their stock control system linked up to the website correctly.

I've had a mouse that was 'low stock' dispatched from them today. I agree the site's appalling, but if you're quick enough it sometimes works out.

Tip of the day: If you don't hear anything, don't waste your time phoning them.

Does finding the printer 3rd party software on every client that wants to use it? or is it just discoverable as a standard network printer?

This is a scorching deal.

like someone said, maybe they only had 1, it let me order but only time will tell

Nearly everything Ive ordered from these guys has been cancelled sometimes its weeks before the mail arrives to tell me I'm not getting the item so I'm not even bothering and the price for HP ink is utter ridicules anyway likes been said the first time you buy ink they have made the money back they lost on the cheap printer. It use to be the case that the inks where full sets so the printers where trow away but now you get half filled inks that run out in a week.

For any student you would be far better getting a samsung B&W laser printer for around £50 and buying a set of refills which is what i did 100,0000 pages £25 I'm not a student but use my laser printer all the time I once printed a 250page book in around 5minutes and out of the 5 refills i still haven't used a bottle of toner

totally agree and also re: the laser

best cheap mono lasers are imo samsungs - cheap to buy....carts included last waaayyyy over their stated amount (my samsung 1520 had a 1000 starter cart - lasted 4000 pages, samsung 3051n had a 1000 page start cart - lasted 7000 pages)....they are pretty robust and well made too, better than may vastly more expensive but flimsy hp 6480 inkjet (hp is still good tho)

Same here - nothing delivered - My main issue is they dont have the decency to ever email to say its not going to be sent.

7dayshop.com has ink cartridges on at £0.79 pence each every couple of months

What printer have you got? Do they sell comptable inks for lasers? Are the toners easy to refil

High.
Not as bad as Lexmark which I wouldn't touch with a bargepole, but high.
Hate the idea of having to get the chip off the old cartridge and glue it to the new.
Why haven't they got chips on the HP compats ? Epson have.

Hi,

You seem to know a thing or 2 about printers.

can u suggest a wireless printer, for a light user, for printing black and white.

Thanks in advance

If it's anything like the Bluetooth keyboards that never arrived, that says it all...

And as for the price of ink lol it will cost you a small fortune to ryn, unless you print 1 x A4 a week lol

maxmix

Epson are far better for value for money.....

email when back in stock now only

I should have read the comments before i ordered. I cancelled my order after waiting 5 minutes on the phone i don't think i was gonna get it anyway good luck to anyone thats ordered.

Has anyone heard, or better, received anything from Orange Accessories yet?
