if you need to remove black mold from sealant use this method. I tried it and it works every time.
Astonish does the same job, normally 75p when on offer, £1 normal price. Plus you get 50% more.

This is 100% better than the Astonish mould remover, well worth paying extra for.
Great stuff, don't get this on your clothes though , I had the spray one & now my t-shirt is a duster & make sure you do it in a well ventilated area, with goggles.

Will give it a try - hopefully the persistent mould on my bathroom sealant that has been mocking my attempts at removal will soon be history.

Works well on silicone. I used the spray version from HG a few years ago to get rid of mould on silicone and after that switched to a cheaper version from Home Bargains. I usually spray the silicone once a week and it keeps it mould free.

Done wonders in my bathroom. Sprayed and left it, returned later. The foam had gone as had the mould.

Anyone used it on painted walls (though they don't recommend it)?

how much better is this over astonish?
tried a few but they don't work on silicone and artex
Great product!
The dispencer screw down cracked on all three i bought but the product is better than anything else that can be made or purchased!

this stuff is super stinky but amazing! (not tried any of the other brands mentioned in comments but tried a fair few before finding this one!) successfully used in bathroom (sealant and grout), on window frames and also ceilings that had patches of mould - grime just lifts off doors/door frames too with it x
Re the mould on silicon sealant, had this problem in my bathroom when I tidied up and resealed around a window frame. I had just used a standard silicon frame sealant without realising that you can buy mould resistant silicon frame sealant. Removed the mouldy sealant and redid with the mould resistant stuff and all Ok now, not one spot of mould.
Cold from me Cillit Bang is better and cheaper and the nozzle on the HG spray always stops working after a few days..

Unfortunately Astonish didn't touch the black mould on the washing machine door seal. This is the only product I have found that removed it and left the seal looking like new.

I have. Gets rid of the mould and didn't affect the walls or ceiling. But obviously try it out somewhere first and try small areas!

Likewise. I tried a couple of products before this and they did nothing. It's down to the dilution of the bleach. Some are quite well diluted, so you're also spraying a lot of water onto a mouldy surface. Not good!

The same result here. I used it on a bedroom wall. No damage to the wall and a nearly perfect job of removing the mould - and keeping it at bay for a long time.
Is this better than Astonish Mould & Mildew Remover?

tried neat bleach?

tried neat bleach?

Nope - seemed a bit overkill. I will be furloughed at the end of next week so will set a day aside to tackle it.

I've ordered the HG stuff anbd if that does not live up to the reviews, I will give neat bleach a go.

If still no good, it will be dig the old sealant out, clean thoroughly and re-seal.

Fair play mate, good luck with it. I honestly tried everything and the bleach worked a treat when nothing else did. Cheap as chips too

Nice one, gonna try this for sure
This stuff works very well!
This is the best I've used, a bit smelly but does the job where some others didn't touch the mould. Well worth it at £5
I would also highly recommend this, tried all products to get rid of black mould in my bathroom, bleach, astonish, cillit bang everything, but this was amazing, I sprayed and went away for 10 mins and when I came back it had gone. Used it on grout, silicone, painted ceiling and also a papered ceiling and worked on them all.
I moved in to a rented property with bad mold in the sealant in the bathroom cleaned it up with sprays best i could then brought this and placed it around the shower its lasted a fair few months now and looks a lot tidier

awesome stuff
Buy a cheap bottle of bleach. Dilute 1 in 10, or 1 in 20 in water. Pour into a used spray bottle.

I’ve got mould on bathroom ceiling too.

Could I ask how you got the chemical to stay on the ceiling, does the foam stick better than a liquid (which just drops off)?
Edited by: "gary333" 25th Apr
How does this differ from the normal HG mould spray?
This is an amazing product on mould. Not sure what it does but spray and leave it for 30 minutes and mould is gone.

I just sprayed it, it seemed to stick ok and then left the room and went back after 10 mins or so and could see the results immediately. I had tried for years to get rid of the mold, nothing I used would fully remove it, some got rid but left discoloured patches which quickly came back, but this removed all traces and left my bathroom gleaming. Honestly it's worth every penny, amazing stuff.

Are you speaking from experience?
Cos I tried that. It didn't work as well as the Astonish stuff (side by side comparison)
This is a good price, the foam is normally a few quid more than the spray.
Like others have said, I use it on the silicon in the washing machine, nothing else (I’ve found) touches it!
I recommend an old used spray bottle mix it 50:50 with bleach and water then just spray any mould on walls and ceilings - spray and forget. No need to was it off just air the room afterwards.

Cost 1p or so
I have found this the best of the mould sprays, looks like I paid £7.49 for last bottle so heat added

I have also used it on walls and it did a fantastic job, didn’t ruin the paint or the wall. Sprayed it, left it for the recommended time and all the mould was gone!
Good stuff, cover the metal, it's eaten most of our towel rail.
