Did you do much mileage? I guess they disposable then?
A fair bit. They're worth the price. Just.

I've had the slightly larger low walking boots. They have lasted about 10 walks in the Peak District of about 8k in my experience, but light and comfortable. The front rubber bits come unstuck but at this price I've ordered some more. I have also complained to HiGear and they sent me a new pair. The broken ones can be glued back together and then used as fishing boots.
I used these for work and we're wrecked within a month. Nothing more than walking in them. You get what you pay for!
Voted HOT! & purchased.
Thanks OP
Hot for £8.50 and 5.05 TCB
I took a punt on a pair of these once. Wasn’t with the money

I don’t fish, so would they be any use for sitting about in a park or maybe on a riverside bench?
Cheers OP, worth a punt at the price.

UPDATE
I phoned GO OUTDOORS (JD SPORTS) "CS" twice over the past 4 days, and got an automated answer (I'd question the CS aspect) and was cut off both times, but I did get a reply of sorts to my email (from Ian). Why don't I let you read em fer yerselves...note I do explain I ordered on sunday.

ALSO
Why would JD Sports/Go Outdoors simply cancel an order?,and would I be better off if they HAVE?. I think i'm gonna test the system, and order a 2nd pair.

Hi
"where is my order" was the closest "subject" option, that's why I picked it to contact you.

My order was placed yesterday (sunday) and I have the confirmation email from you, and paypal to this effect, but I noticed you require a signature on the 3-5 day delivery (UK Mail/DHL)

"Please note all orders will require a signature upon delivery unless otherwise requested on special instructions"

so was wondering if a TRACKING number would be available?.

Many thanks
sincerely

Really not worth it. I had a pair and the inners fell apart really quickly and the soles are almost non existant. Only used around the house and garden.
Sweet have some heat
walking shoes for 8 quid I'm sure they will be OK to walk to the local fish&chips and back, but nothing more I suppose.

Anyway for this price it's still hot
Worth a punt at this price
Love sub £10 shoes, I usually use them for mountain biking as the studs on my pedals usually destroy shoes

No

You need to take up fishing today
I cheaped out on a pair of walking boots once and ended up slipping in a stream and breaking a BlackBerry
Thanks these will make excellent MTB shoes. I have pedals that shred the soles of any shoes, so never buy expensive shoes for riding, it also means I don't have to worry about wading through mud. Just buy a pair or 2 to see me through a season and throw them away.

This. This x 1000. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Bought 2 pairs as they were cheap as chips, Walk about 3-4 miles a day with the dog.

Each pair lasted around 2months... Argued with them for a refund as not fit for purpose and got refused time and time again.. Involved my credit card company and they sorted the refund.

They LOOK like walking shoes, they are CALLED walking shoes... But they are not.

Save your money and go elsewhere!

Absolutely right. You must join us...

"A fishing rod is a stick with a worm at one end and a fool at the other. Samuel Johnson"

... but I can confirm that the grip on these boots isn't adequate for landing a large pike.
Ordered 4% as Quidco as well

Yes, I noticed that when I went back to check availability (if my order was cancelled)

I was all sorted (so the email said) fer a 3-5 day (free) delivery, so Wed-Fri, @ £8.50
3 failed attempts to contact Go Outdoors via phone (cut off every time) and an eventual reply (of sorts) from IAN via email (who thought the order would be cancelled if not received by today (friday)?

I put a call in to JD SPORTS CS (JD own Go Outdoors) and I was asked to try to contact GO 1 more time, I did (today) got through, and my order was confirmed, and about an hour ago I received an email to say delivery will be between Mon-Wed

Expected delivery date:Monday, August 5th - Wednesday, August 7th.

Oh well, should be interesting ter see if the bloody things last a few simple walks.

Sounds like I can expect to have a similar chat with paypal in a few short months, if not weeks by the sounds of it.

JUST had an email from DHL. My shoes were COLLECTED yesterday, the day I called JD Sports CS, and got to speak to GO OUTDOORS CS (on only my 4 of 5 attempt, 6 days after I placed the order)

FREE DHL delivery? @ £8.50 HELL it would have been cheaper ter GIVE the bloody things away, & save on the RETURN when (as expected) they fall apart...soon
Arrived today via DHL (collected friday, delivered monday) but the wrong size.
I'm gonna get em checked at A CLARKS store, B4 I drop em off at a charity shop.

Arrived less than an hour ago, but refund already in my account, so Go Outdoors CS ("credit" where it's due...see what I did there) are well n truly on the ball.
