What is the voucher code?

Says code is JUN198 on the link

Always divide size estimate by 2 10=5 in comfort... unless you are all off your heads and don't care...

Good price for a big tent though...

Can the 50% be used on anything?

how long would it take to set it up???

It takes about 30 mins to set up

hi gear = poor quality.
I really wouldnt like 10 people jostling around in one these

Thats fab if the offer can be used on other tents. Its a bit big for us but thanks for posting. Gonna look for a smaller tent

Cheap brand, I'd look for a hydrostatic head of 5000 to be sure it'd cope with downpours.

This is a great find and I've added heat, BUT - you need one of their discount cards to get the price. They can be bought at checkout, and add £5 to the price. The card is valid for a year, so anything else won't need the extra £5 spent.

We've had an Hi-gear Kalahari for years and had no problems with it. Stood up to storms and heavy rain no problem

This is a decent enough tent. It's massive and will easily sleep 6-8 people with clothes etc. We recently sold out Hi Gear and bought an Outwell from Go Outdoors using their price promise.

Most stores will have this pitched so you can have a good look around it before you buy.

Hot Deal.

Sadly not. These vouchers are usually specific to particular products.

that means its just wet proof ;o) - overall build quality wasnt the best on mine. Lasted 1 summer before throwing it.

Let me tell you our experience of this tent as we bought it last year

Hi Gear are made by Gelert

It is a fantastic tent, kept us bone dry and stayed very secure whilst other tents collapsed and got destroyed in the high winds and rain on the coast of Southerness

We have 4 kids and there was bags of room. the 2 girls shared, youngest was in with us, and the other lad was on his own, and we used the 4th bedroom as the storage, we also had a porch too

Plenty of room and as the bedrooms are modular you dont have to have them all setup, giving you even more space

I have pitched this on my own in 30 mins, ideally it does need 2 to pitch it

Now that is good, bravo.

It makes me laugh when people start parping on about quality etc. I acknowledge that you can pay a lot more for a better quality tent but I have one of these and it is worth way more than £200 - its a steal. Never had a problem with mine - make sure you get the carpet.

Top tip, buy the Kalahari 10 carpet not the Voyager one, because its 20 quid cheaper and the same size

get the footprint too, although we got the gelert footprint becuase again it was cheaper

and they don't do a porch for the voyager 10, but we got the zenobia porch reduced to about 40 quid and it doesnt quite fit but more than good enough

i'm considering buying this

could i not just use a large normal rug/carpet?
is it absolutely essential to buy the carpet and footprint?

Poor Quality nah, Ive a HI gear akthama berth 5 , perfect for me and 4 kids.

Have to disagree......On a serious what suggest instead of HI-Gear...the excellent Vangos ?

i have this tent as well and it survived the wind of Barmouth in Wales last year, there us ample room without anyone feeling cramped well worth the money

Plus free delivery and 5% cashback on quidco.com

The tent carpets are made to fit the tent, we had this same thought process, but at 40 quid for a large single piece carpet (I say carpet, it is actually the same material as those fleece style picnic blankets) they arent too bad. We looked on ebay etc etc and the same non branded, not made to fit our tent worked out more expensive

Plus having a carpet means you can walk in the tent without your shoes on

The footprint stops all the mud etc getting on your tent base, and is much easier to clean, again they are about 40 quid for this tent, it also means you pitch your footprint and you know exactly the size of your tent, making it much easier to pitch your tent and get it in the right place

considering they come in a small bag and have the guy pegs 40 quid is a pretty good price too

Some of the Hi-gear stuff is proper naff, even the sales guy told us on the cheaper 99 quid models (the green coloured one) they are basically take to the likes of glastonbury and dont bother bringing home

Why do you need a bloody discount card to get these prices. They are only a fiver granted, but its annoying.

On that note, can anyone recommend a 2/3 man tent?

Vango, Outwell and Kampa generally get good reviews. If there is a particular tent you are interested in there are reviews on ukcampsite.co.uk......

If anyone is considering this tent - keep in mind that some sites have restrictions in high season and will not accept tents more than 6 berth or over a certain size.....

For what it's worth, some mates and I slept in one of these at a festival last year and it was fine. I have the Vango 6 man tent so was unsure about Hi Gear, but it was absolutely fine... if anything, it was easier to erect and disassemble than my Vango one!

We have this tent and it is fantastic value. It is easy to pitch and gives a family of five lots of room. It feels sturdy and strong and would certainly recommend this deal. Voted hot.

just looked at the size of this and then measured my garden....this isn't one for sticking up for the kids for a mess about

huge tent and as someone above mentioned, this may not be allowed on a lot of sites due to the size of it(isn't allowed on any of the sites we normally visit in a static caravan(is bigger than a lot of statics))

We changed our old tent for the voyager 10 as it fits most campsites

8 x 4

We have had the voyager 6 for a few years now and are very happy with the quality. This is a great deal.

Hi gear and vango are made in the exact same factory by the same people so no difference in build quality

clearly doesn't know anything about hydrostatic heads 3000 is massive and will cope with any amount of rain

Hi gear are also made by Gelert too

Beanchimp, can I ask as to which porch you got to fit the tent. I havent seen one for the voyager 10 yet but I wad hoping another porch from the range might just do it.
