I went to a preview screening earlier today and enjoyed it so much that I bought the ebook, I thought it was worth sharing at this price

#1 New York Times Bestseller

NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE
Oscar Nominated For Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay

Set amid the civil rights movement, the never-before-told true story of NASA’s African-American female mathematicians who played a crucial role in America’s space program.

Before Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, a group of professionals worked as ‘Human Computers’, calculating the flight paths that would enable these historic achievements. Among these were a coterie of bright, talented African-American women. Segregated from their white counterparts, these ‘colored computers’ used pencil and paper to write the equations that would launch rockets, and astronauts, into space.

Moving from World War II through NASA’s golden age, touching on the civil rights era, the Space Race, the Cold War, and the women’s rights movement, Hidden Figures interweaves a rich history of mankind’s greatest adventure with the intimate stories of five courageous women whose work forever changed the world.

I thought amazing price for dvd. X)

I watched a preview today. Absolutely amazing film. I must be getting soft as I've basically cried all the way through this film, brilliant!

Of course some aspects are dramatised to make it more interesting/create suspense, but in the interests of honesty this is worth reading -

This and Lion have been the most outstanding and refreshing films I've watched in years. I think I will have to pick this one up.

What about all the contributions made by ETs?

Like the made up stuff about how people thought she was the janitor and was subject to racism within NASA, Not very fair on the NASA employees who also worked there at the time

Given most of the success of the American space program was actually down to Nazi scientists recruited and brought to the United States for Government employment at the end of World War 2 ( en.wikipedia.org/wik…lip ) it seems the Americans stole virtually everything from other countries (and they have the cheek to lecture us about slavery, lol)

It just shows how "fake history" can turn a war criminal like Wernher von Braun ( en.wikipedia.org/wik…aun ) the inventor of the V-2 rocket, into a medal-winning Director of NASA!
