Available on the official website for £79.99 now. I think the price for these has changed to £79.99 here too. Great deal for some great headphones. Ordered some as I have the BT-1

JayDubya

Thanks OP. I ordered the blue version - the white and blue versions are special editions, released a little later than the black & clear, with slightly enhanced sound. I've been wanting to replace my SE210s (the predecessor to these) that gave up after many years of use & abuse. Cost was putting me off, and this huge price drop was the nudge I needed. All colours still in stock at Hifonix right now. Blue oos at Shure. Stuff Amazon. I too got a call just a few minutes after ordering, confirming free next day delivery (y) I flirted with "true wireless" earbuds, but just couldn't see them suiting me right now. Plus those comparable in quality are substantially more in price, although there are one or two exception that are close. Apparently the price drop is ahead of a packaging rebrand, but the product is not being changed. I might keep my eye out for some cheaper MMCX compatible earphones to use with the bluetooth module during more active tasks such as mowing the grass when I'm more likely to damage them, or sports. If those come with a cable then I can then also use that with the SE215s if I need to.

bobthewibble

Available direct from Shure too at this price and Amazon for £79. Guessing they price matched Shure? Amazing deal given the Bluetooth alone used to be £100. Thanks for the post OP.

dekemite

I have always found wired earbuds to really amplify my footsteps, which is really distracting and no use to a postie. Can anyone who owns these confirm if they've experienced this. The last thing I want to do is shell out this much for something I have to sit still to use

Wibblers

Great headphones - bought for my IEM. Was going bigger but stunned at how much better than "normal" headphones these are! Didn't know about the bluetooth module you could get.

Most of the 'axe-grinders' praise the sound quality - its the reliability that seems to be the problem. I suspect most of the reviews are from relative shorty usage periods where the sound is being evaluated, which everyone seems to agree is fantastic.

ScoobyZ

Just ordered from Peter Tyson, 2 year Warranty and 12 month 0% is you select the Android Version. (Same as normal but only 6 months 0%) update cancelled as no stock. What a faff. Got sent a £10 voucher :

batterylife

There are over 100 5-star reviews in audio magazines and on audio/tech websites. Mojo has won more awards than any other DAC in existence. Don't worry about a few axe-grinders on Amazon.

rev6

For on the go, you're probably best with an in-line type DAC. Unless you don't mind faff.

Dodge62

Looks interesting but I note: "USB 5V power rail no internal battery, 90mA idle current, the device contains up to 4000uF of capacitance and IOS/Android devices can start OTG operation only with Camera_Adapter and USB OTG Y-splitter cable respectively" - that sounds a bit of a faff. OK for static listening from a PC I guess.

There's a good chance Richer Sounds and others will price match this. It's a good £20 off other places at the moment, even after the price drop.

Have a look here. WhatHiFi does Best Buys per budget band. https://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/home-cinema/best-home-cinema-amplifiers https://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/home-cinema They also have forums with lots of enthusiasts to answer questions/offer advice. Another good place to ask questions: https://www.avforums.com/forums/ These are very active.

h4music

That's where I'm not sure how best to proceed. I could work with a budget of around 900-1k for a decent home cinema system (excl TV).

rev6

Then you need a budget. There's so much choice it's ridiculous (y)

h4music

Multi-channel ideally for film content. Some music albums are mixed in surround-sound, however, most are mixed for a stereo mix (to be converted to MP3 for spotify on to Dr Beats headphones).

rev6

Stereo only? The Yamaha R-N602 is decent for what you say.

Been looking at the 50" version of this today at Currys and found this deal. A bit too big for my wife to live with (annoyed)

Hughes are doing it for £769 with a 5 year warranty using code EXTRA30. Richer Sounds will pricematch Hughes and beat by £10 too and give you an extra year of warranty. (y)

Disco.Dave

Just noticed they do have have the 50EX750 For £779 with 5yr warranty

That is very expensive I paid 529 for refurb 58dx750 at Panasonic outlet months ago.

Disco.Dave

Sorry peeps just noticed it's a refurbished.

I have the original Mu-so and it does sound amazing given it's dimensions. If you really love music, then do yourself a favour and purchase a naim, you won't regret it.

spatter

I have this and it's ok. Not amazing for the money I'd say...

Slarty

If you have access to the Apple Store via an employee buying website, then Apple class Naim Mu-so systems as "accessories" and offer 10% discount, so this is £584.40 and its bigger brother, £895.20.

I meant my old jvc speakers are paired with a £30 amp. My 3020s are paired with an onkyo 9010.

linhang90

Problem might be ur £30 amp. A better amp is like a better engine for your car(speakers)

hellachloe

They only sound slightly better than my 12 year old jvc speakers that cost me 100 pounds, paired with a 30 pound amp.

linhang90

This is 3050 tho.. but 3020 shouldnt be too bad since its rated 5* by what hi-fi. I get it that not every single review of theirs is accurate/true..their verdict shouldn't be too far from realiaty??

The Onkyo upward firers I have sit on top of my front Tannoy floor standers...they were there a week before the wife even noticed them (_;)

That's reality

spritey

Sometimes we have to know our limits and very often that limit is our wives ;)

deleted205259

I gradually moved from two speaker stereo to 5:1 surround and then to 7:1 surround. I now think I've gone as far as I can with the sound quality/aesthetic discussion at home so I doubt ceiling or up-firing speakers will ever happen. Nice thought though.

Dolby Atmos spec officially supports upto 24.1.10 configuration. However, they recommend 5.1.2, 5.1.4 or 7.1.2, 7.1.4 or 9.1.2 config. It is upto the manufacturer to incorporate reference specs in their products and tier models accordingly for consumers.
