Shame it's the 750ml bottle. If it had been the run bottle, I'd have snapped this up.

you take a bottle out while you run? you can easily run 1 to 1 1/2 hours without water in the UK unless its very hot. If you run over that then run smaller loops and leave a bottle at home/in the car etc. or take 50p and buy from a shop.

I don't. The wife does. I think it's more a psychological thing more than anything. 9 times out of 10 it comes back half full!

I've pointed this out, but "she preferes it"

You say that but I ran 15k a month or so ago at 8.30am, without water, cloudy. By 9.30 the clouds had parted, the day was really hotting up and I was running with the traffic (albeit down quiet cornish country lanes) just to catch the odd shade of a tree, it was a real struggle but I'd rather push myself than end up walking. So I haven't run without water since 'just incase'
I guess we do what we need to do to achieve what we need to achieve

Looking at the pictures I think this is aimed at cyclist rather than runners. I have one of the hand held running bottles and have never used it. Really don't like the idea of having to hold something for an hour plus. Much prefer a small bottle I can tuck in my pants.

You obviously aren't running hard enough! I lose about a kg in water every hour when running at tempo pace and will drink about 400ml per hour to try and combat the loss. Yeah you can avoid water when doing shorter runs but performance and recovery is better. YMMV as we are all individuals.

Running isn't about 'running hard enough' that's a sure way to injury(especially as I'm in my 40's) I run around 80% of my monthly miles at a slow/steady pace, unless I am training for a particular event each of these runs will cover 7 miles in an about an hour, easily achievable without water, yes it may be slightly more comfortable taking in a bit of water but the inconvenience of having to run around carry that water negates this.

The rest of my monthly 'quality' miles are done on the track or hill repeats so water can be left on the ground.
Does someone know what kind of plastic they use for the bottle? I assume 4 at this price
I wasn't sure if these gels would help, but after trying the sis ones I was impressed at how much longer I could go for. I've never seen the misses so happy
