I saw this myself a few days ago and thought at the time, if the spec was a bit better or the price was about £150 lower then it would be OK.

I have seen worse deals for people who don't know a lot about PCs though, so not a bad effort really.

it's a brilliant deal.

Its not a bad price

Anyone know how much it'd cost to build a similar PC to this? Just for comparison sake

BLU-RAY & HD-DVD Player"
Is that really necessary?

A combo Blu-ray/HD-DVD reader costs about £75 so you’re paying about £455 for the system. Cold for me as I’ve heard too many bad reports about the way they handle warranties.

i would rather stick to pc world, comet, currys and other major retailers, so much easier to get results with a near by shop, and what make is this? medion or something....

The 9x00 series cpus suffered from very poor performance issues leading AMD to make an instant product revision and released the 9x50 series PhenomX4 as a replacement, apart from the blu-ray dreading drive there is nothing special about the specification, I would suggest a xps420 quadcore system over this.

If it wasn't for the blu-ray drive this would retail around £150 less.

My 8-year-old Medion laptop and 4-year-old Medion desktop, both from Aldi, are both still running well... Solid and reliable for me. I'd hope they haven't let themselves in the reliability stakes
