It's for the garden and not too much emphasis on the over night side.

You'd be crazy to buy one of these. There are more 1* reviews than any other on that listing (25).

However, it clearly did work out for at least one of the 1* reviewers;

"It was easy to set up and looked very cute in the sea of gigantic (and probably more comfortable) tents. I loved it for the first few hours or so, until we slept in.

It was raining outside (as it always does at festivals) and thanks to magical simulation powers of this tent, it was raining inside too! Humidity and condensation made sure we weren't missing anything happening outside. We had two wet and cold nights with my new girlfriend, and we're still together after seven months; probably due to binding effect of natural disasters. I knew she was the one when she woke up with the dripping water on her face and was still smiling. If you want to test your relationship, buy one of these with two tickets to Glastonbury."

Anyway, this is England - and rain is to expected. So buy a tent that can at least withstand it.

Looks like they added alcohol and other festival additives, but they did say they had the experience they went looking for.
They also didn't say they left it!

might get this for the kids to play with in the garden - for which it is ideal. And cheap

1000mm HH combined with no proper ventialtion is utterly inadequate as a device to actually camp in

Nobody ever heard of hotels ?

Not many hotels at a festival mind. Fool.

This isn't really a tent, more a temporary shelter to stop your fellow festival goers **** on you in the dark, just remember it weights **** all and costs **** all, throw it away when you've finished.

Dem reviews. 1.5 avg out of 4. Only the brave.

I once slept in a landrover series 2A outside a club in Whitehaven, did have a skin full of malibu at the time, funny thing is someone must have sneaked in during the night and threw sick all over the drivers seat & dashboard, crazy folk round these parts..

Atleast with a Series 2 easy washed and the leather trim doesn't stain!!!!! or retain the flavours....

Yes....camping is such a horrible pursuit. I always find I end up in the worst of places

Horrific camping spot #1

Personally, I find staying in a hotel to be the least enjoyable part of my travels. But I guess we're all cut from different cloth

I loathe how we consider throwing stuff away after one use to be acceptable.
Then again, I guess it's someone else's problem - so who cares?

Don't think anyone will trace your tent as I couldn't see it after having a close look......might have seen it though in the 4th off last pic.

Step 1 - buy cheap tent without any water resistance mentioned in the product details
Step 2 - take it to the rain and write angry reviews.

Ok for the kids to play in but not waterproof ....

I like the idea of camping in a tent, I like the reality of a hotel or nice B & B.

That's the wife's house sorted

Hiya,

I was wondering? Agreed that you choose some really nice spots there, but I was wondering... is it even legal to just camp where you like? or do you need to go to 'authorized' camp sites?

Those photos were taken in Scotland. It is entirely legal to camp on any public land in Scotland (they are far more progressive than the English when it comes to land laws).

But just to add, I have cycled in many parts of the world - and I've never been caught stealth camping :). Finding a place to camp has also been a v.nice excuse to chat to people. Just don't leave any trace of your presence, and you will be fine.

Cheers mate, I didn't know about the laws in Scotland.

You made my day with that scenery, and there are still people who prefer 4 white walls

And that's why I love camping so much.

Even if I won the lottery I'd still be going camping (although maybe the odd cruise etc in between, but would still honestly go).

OJ DEAR. 1000mm waterproof! and only 190cm long! You would have to be willing to be a wet midget to camp in this one...

I've camped on a Icelandic volcano and it erupted in the middle the night.

It was certainly a v.memorable tour. More so because it was v.v.last minute. I found out about a £10 to anywhere National Express offer on the Saturday, and by Tuesday morning, I was on the bus to the furthest point from me (Inverness).
I then had 2 weeks of cycling in beautiful scenery, swimming in crystal clear seas, camping on deserted beaches, & getting sunburnt :).
For anyone that has yet to visit - I highly recommend touring around the NW Highlands by whatever means. It really is a stunning part of the world. & you can even claim to have walked part of the famous Appalachian Trail (although the majority of it is in N.America, the trail begins in Scotland).
