A therapy blanket for anxiety, stress, and insomnia — I have little knowledge if it actually works — but Online Home Shop are selling them, and they are much less expansive than others out there. Most retailers are selling these for more than £50 for the single.

The single is £22.99 (plus £1.99 postage), the small double is £27.99 (plus £1.99 postage), and the double is £32.99 (postage included).

Personally, I like a bit of freedom of movement in bed, but others like to sleep like the dead...

"The Highams weighted blanket has been crafted to relieve stress, insomnia, anxiety ADHD. Using revolutionary 'Deep Touch Pressure Stimulation' therapy - known for releasing a sense of serenity and calm - the compact stitched pockets distribute weight evenly across your entire body, creating a calming, snuggle effect. Certified, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic micro glass beads contained within the 4.5 inch pockets and cotton cover, makes this blanket healthy, breathable, comfortable and durable, whilst stimulating the stress points. This Highams sensory weighted gravity blanket contains several loops allowing you to attach a cover, for easy care.

Available in 2 sizes containing different weights means the weighted blanket is suitable for both adults and kids alike. Consult your physician for recommended blanket weight, although this is usually between 7-12% of your body weight. The 4kg blanket is ideal perfect for children, whilst the 8kg weight is suited to adults. Please note: this product should not be used by very young children, who are unable to move the blanket themselves.
"

Materials:
  • Cover - 100% Cotton
  • Padding - 100% polyester
  • Filling - certified, non-toxic micro glass beads.

This type of product works for some with regard to anxiety. This particular one seems to have large square pockets, prefer smaller Criss cross pockets to hold the glass beads more evenly. Budget in an additional cover for it to keep it clean. You can't put them in a washing machine due to the weight.

The average adult weighs around 11-14 stone, so it's not too far out.

This is suited to people who way between 11-12 stone, don’t to even look at the 4kg one as it’s only for kids and midgets
Anyone ordering from Scotland may want to be careful during checkout.

I was going to order the £32.99 one but the checkout process was adding an £8.99 "Highlands & Islands" delivery charge. Which isn't something I've ever encountered before while living in Stirling -- and fairly sure Hermes (who they have down as doing the delivery) doesn't charge extra for deliveries here.
Anyone know of a suitable cover for these?
Specifically the double.
Micro glass beads? Unwashable? I presume that micro glass beads are recyclable but what happens if / when these get in the food chain?

I think you may be confusing these with plastic microbeads which were banned from production on 9th January, 2018. If they get into the environment it is said that glass microbeads basically act in the same way as sand.
