recommend anything with same tones of Johnnie Walker Black Label?

awsome price....we picked a spey side malt over this and the Ardbeg 12 for the father in law. to find he had the other three we considerd so whether it is good of not at least we picked the right one... but this is an awesome bargain.

Drank a bottle of this last night.
If I didn't feel like death today i'd probably buy another.

Good price for a very nice smooth single malt that is not peaty like the Lagavulin and Laphroaig styles.

To be honest, if you're looking for a single malt alternative to Johnnie Walker Black, Highland Park would be a good option given its balance across smoke, sweet and spicy/sherry-like notes. The JW double black has a stronger smoke / peat profile - which is also excellent, but different.

at the price this is going for its well worth it and id rather buy highland park 12 than johnnie walker black which can cost more than this single malt... if someone were a fan of JW black and wanted to try malts you could always try JW green which is made only from malts with a minimum age of 15 years. It hits all the spots of the spectrum without the grain. i got a litre bottle of it from a family member on holiday. very nice stuff

Agreed.

Have also *just* picked up a bottle of Cragganmore 12 on Amazon's lightening deal (link) for a really good price (£24.99 - lower than the 3Camels have on record) - quite different from Highland Park, but if you were looking for the honey/heather notes in the JW Black that may also be worth considering. Many believe the Cragganmore forms a bulk of many JW blends - you'll certainly pick it up on the nose
