Got to be worth a look. Last pair I bought was Regatta branded from TK Maxx, already worn through the heels.

How long ago did you buy them? What sort of use have they had?

Bound to be alright being Lidl and can't complain for £17. Will grab a pair for next winter, thanks OP!

I do walk a lot, over 35 miles most weeks, so about 6 weeks in they were badly worn.

Got a new pair with Vibram soles, so they should last better.

Hot!

Heat - I have been all over the world in Lidl and Aldi walking boots, mega comfy, dry and last ages.

Definitely HOT, but I doubt they'd be good enough for a Russian winter snowdonm3. Thanks for doing that other thing.

my local never have any of the deals posted here...

HOT though

Same here - I did the Inca Trail and the Offa's Dyke in a pair of Aldi ones that were reduced to 9.99 and now I just wear them as my standard shoes. They don't stink, either. I've have some boots that stunk like vinegar after a day on the hoof.

Will buy these.

I want some of these too but can anyone tell me what the sizes are usually like? Do they normally come up true to size for you folks that already owned lidl boots? Thanks.

I usually go into my local Lidl and try them on.

Ok, I was going to get someone to grab me a pair whilst they were out shopping but I will probs pop down myself and try them on, thanks!

Do they ever do ladies' boots?

And my old Aldi boots are used to do work on the car and DIY. Still going strong, have wasted money on higher end boots from well known makes which don't compare.

Yes my mum is a hiker and uses them

They are only offering ladies shoes just now LINK

Was tempted to give these a try only to discover they were only doing mens boots, why on earth are they only doing shoes for ladies? Mind you, I bought a pair of Salomon boots the winter before last in the sales, still in great condition and extremely comfortable, far better than the Merrell boots I had previously. Would have like to try a pair of these though for more general use.

Bought these last time they had them in store and been a great buy.

I'm interested in these for a motorcycle trip i'll be doing in a few months, will they be good enough for cruising around on a motorcycle and for some walking around? I need some cheap comfortable "boots" that can stand some road wear, and they look just fine for 20 Euros...

Just bought a pair for general walking, mainly Dog walking.
OK but very light and they are labelled as 'Hiking Shoes' when the Lidl flyer advert was 'Hiking Boots'
I have tried them and they are all right for general walking ( the dog etc) but I would not expect them to be too good for real hiking.
They lack real support for the foot, though there is some rigidity in the sole.
More suited for summer use, where you trade off weight for the bulk/weight of a sturdy but 'hot' proper boot.
Hope this is helpful.
Voted cold as they are not a proper boot, more a shoe with a boot shape.

Got the boots some socks and the walking bag! Didn't have much stock in my store at 8am this morning though!

Nah there too light for a bike mate, not enough protection in a crash.... pay more and ge a pair of light bike boots.

Im happy with mine, quite comfy, will do me nicely for general walking about and to work and back

I'm normally a size 11, but found them to be a bit too roomy...so ended up buying a size 10.
No one bats an eyelid if you just pull ten out of the bag and try them on there

Bought a pair yesterday, very impressed for the money, light and comfortable. These will do me for dog waking and a week away very soon+heat

Bought mine yesterday, well impressed for the money. Modern 'breathable' lightweight materials and well designed.
Doubt they would stand up to the rigours of extreme fell walking on stone, rock, brambles, gorse etc. but I don't do extreme condition walking.

Thanks to all for the useful replies, i popped down last night and got size 8, they are a very roomy 8, probably actually an 8.5 but for the money they seemed incredibly well made and i am sure they will see me through late summer, autumn and the start of winter, plus plenty of room for thick winter socks! My advise if you aren't sure is to just get them, at the price you will get your moneys worth!

I bought these boots yesterday, got the green ones. Put them on and walked the dog for about an hour and was so impressed how comfortable they were that I went back and bought a blue pair as well. Don't make my feet sweat bad either and look pretty good with blue jeans.
They're pretty lightweight so i'm not expecting them to last like my Cats or Timberlands, but for the price they're a great deal.
Heat added.

Got some from the Chadderton Lidl, had some more Size 11 there and a few other sizes. They also had Ladies boots/shoes there as well.

Didnt think they did ladies boots, we're they the same as the blokes?

I am saw Sandals and Trainers at mine! My Mrs would be interested if they had Ladies boots

I bought these 'Boots' (not 'shoes', as they come up above my ankle!) this morning from the Leicester store and they look great for what I need. Have been through two pairs of £150 boots before now (Salomon and Asolo, Goretex GTX models) but won't bother again. Using the these expensive ones for dog walking in our local hills in the autumn/winter has them leaking like a sieve in just over 1 yr (I guess the Goretex lining wears through!). So I will be happy if these see me through the winter without getting wet feet. They feel pretty comfy from a first quick wear too. Very Happy. Thanks OP

The Leicester store had a few Pink highighted boot versions for the same price £16.99, as opposed to the mens boots with Green or Blue colour inserts/highights.. May be worth checking other stores in your area.

As an update... I wore them for the first time this morning as it was raining and got a wet left foot. Being returned today for refund.
Waste of time. Won't bother again.

Mine are not leaking, tested them in the bath. You must have a faulted one.
These are fantastic value.

Just a tip for fabric boots to enhance extra waterproofing......spray the 'breathable' fabric with silicone spray, here is a Wiki

Bought 2 pairs of these boots about 3 weeks ago..... The pair that I've mostly worn is already falling apart where the sole is coming away from the sides of the boot. hardly worn the second pair, but no doubt they will go the same way.
Bleeding rubbish...... every special I seem to buy from Lidl these days is substandard crap and has to be returned after a short while.
