Best way to drill holes with this is to go in, out, in out then shake it all about. Works a treat.

It is an Hitachi?

Yes that’s right. Rebranding this year
Is this a good drill? Compared to Bosch Makita etc why so cold?
Give it 6 months, the Hitachi brand will be back, sales figures will plummet and the idiot in Hitachi sales who dreamed up this name will be out the door

Good enough for DIY. Bought one with lower capacity batteries about 3 years ago. Not working any more and my DeWalt batteries needed replacing. My DeWalt XRP was close to 15 years old and didn't warrant the investment, and buying another at my age it would outlive me!! So I bought a Hitachi. It has done a lot of work and is still going strong, doesn't have the solid feel of the DeWalt, but it is good. I have the feeling it will do another couple of years of regular but not constant use.
Why so cold?! It's very good drill. I compared it to Millwaukee at Screwfix, and same quality for me. 2x5Amp batteries are worth around 100.
