It's a different brand of rice so not the same deal.
Always this price. Lidl and Aldi sell £1 1kg packets of aromatic basmati rice and Thai Jasmine rice. No need to stock it in excess to become food for vermin.

Pretty much the same. Tilda is better packed in UK and more expensive plus lots of advertising.

Aldi baamati is very poor and starchy. Breaks down really easily too.

I buy this Himalayan rice from my asian supermarket that sell it by the pallet load so that tells you all you need to know.

Tilda is better and less likely to break down but costs double.

I get great results with this Himalayan rice and the grains are long and not very starchy so you can get away with not washing it.

Nothing beats Tilda apart from the price!
