I paid £5.99 for my last one of these at the health food store!

got one out lidl, good but v strong taste

I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. Excellent!

this ones decent but the source keeps changing ie it used to be a product of S.A. now its Pakistan. ..
beware the other brands including the lidl ones.... the sodium chloride levels on the label are too high for himalayan salt.. more like regular salt with pink bits!.. they taste too salty as well so suspect. . this ones the closest to the real stuff.

This is a commonly found salt in India and Pakistan. The original stuff should be high in sodium chloride and you should only need a pinchful. That is the uniqueness of this salt. It is meant to taste different too. It is usually used in chat masala and chaats which are popular in India and Pakistan. I suggest you Google 'chaat' to get a better understanding of what chaat is and how to use this salt. typically you can sprinkle some on chips and drizzle some lemon juice. It's another version of the popular salt and vinegar thing.

Nice find op heat added

most have pepper grinders, chilli salt ones also. £1.99 is their usual price but beats the prices everyone else charge.

I didn't realise this was a 'deal' per se. I don't think I've ever not seen these in the B&M near me in Sale. Always there at this price. Always been tempted to buy but never been bothered because B&M grinders usually clog up and break within days.

I'll take that with a pinch of salt.

assuming your label meant South Asia, that would make Pakistan the same (just more specific). Himalayan salt is rock salt from the Punjab, Pakistan. if your label meant South Africa, then you definitely didn't get Himalayan salt! especially if it was lower in NaCl as the content should be above 96%

I've been to the Khewra Salt Mines in Pakistan, what an amazing experience it was. This salt is most likely from there.

The peri-peri salt grinders there are superb, too.

i went to B&M for the first time last weekend....i was really disappointed at the way customers mess up the displays, I've never seen a store so messy before, i asked the staff member why is the store a mess at midday, she replied that the store is neat and tidy in the morning, its the customers that mess up the shelves.

If you pick something up, PUT IT BACK WHERE YOU GOT IT FROM, ALSO IF YOU GO THOUGH THE GOODS ON THE SHELF, DO YOUR BEST AND TIDY IT BACK LIKE IT WAS BEFORE.

Sorry, rant over,

Heat for the salt grinder!!!

They have these exact ones at the same price in £stretcher - for those folks not bear a B&M :-)

This will keep all those children working hard in Pakistan. No school for them!

Ha ha ha ha ha! That is the oddest comment I've ever read. Somehow suggesting that people that shop in B&M are different to customers in other shops! All customers mess up all shops. But most pay staff to constantly tidy it through the day.

As for the "deal" good price but always this price in B&M.

How much salt are you getting here?

Cant judge teh deal with no indication of how many grammes of salt this is, my local Lidl are doing a 400g grinder of himalayan salt for around 4 quid at the moment

poundstrecher has the full range of these as well at this price, great value

Dear me.Do you not get out much?
That why stores employ floor staff.
Ever been to Sports Direct-you would have a panic attack.

I've had a few of these of the different varieties, never had a problem with the grinders clogging so far, go on, treat yourself.

Clogging or not, the one I got a few months ago grind itself, ie there are pieces of black plastic in the salt. COLD even if it was free as I'm not going to eat plastic.

i bought 4 of these a little over a year ago.. im on my second one now... love the stuff, try a crack of it on toast if you dont have salted butter... quality!! this stuff is supposedly good for your adrenals if you have it as close to waking up as possible!! joe rogan podcast told me so.. lol

Much nicer taste than table salt. I see they do a couple of flavours too. Thanks for that!!

Yeah, must better than normal table salt.
As other people have pointed out, some stores also sell the full range of these grinders, but this salt is my favourite.

this is much better than the Himalayan salt sold in poundstretcher as the poundstrecher one isn't as strong tasting and looks like it is mixed with normal white salt

Still available, picked some up for a secret Santa present for work tomorrow.
