Was in the market for a GPU for a friend and came across this deal and bought it instantly. Not sure if it's been under £100 before but I personally have not seen it for under £100. It's an excellent graphics card with performance that equals and in some cases beats the old beast HD 6870 and it uses less power with much newer and modern technology and features.

EDIT: This card should come with two free games actually. Bioshock Infinite and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon but for some reason eBuyer only lists Bioshock Infinite. People are selling these game codes as a bundle on eBay for £20+ so could take a bit more off the final price of the GPU.

Shouldn't these amd cards from with bioshock, blooddragon and tomb raider.

I think I saw a chart somewhere where it said Bioshock Infinite and FC3 Blood Dragon should come with this card but eBuyer only lists Bioshock. I'll look around on their website to see which games should be included with this series of graphics card.

Yeah it says on the AMD website this card should come with both Bioshock Infinite and FC3

Decent review here.

This is essentially the same GPU as the Xbox One and PS4 and should handle most things up to 1080P res depending on the performance of the rest of your system, There are faster cards out there but not for less than a hundred notes new.

This card is barely better than the hd 6870 i bought 2 years ago for 120-130 quid. Would wait unless desperate.

Meh. This is the world of the pc, there's always something big to wait for.

Bottom line, if you've got 100 notes to spend on a graphics card, you're not likely to get a better deal than this.

GPU in Xbox One is significantly less powerful than PS4.

In terms of the GPU hardware, hard information was difficult to come by, but one of the engineers did let slip with a significant stat - 768 operations per clock. We know that both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are based on Radeon GCN architecture and we also know that each compute unit is capable of 64 operations per clock. So, again through a process of extrapolation from the drip-feed of hard facts, the make-up of the One's GPU is confirmed - 12 compute units each capable of 64 ops/clock gives us the 768 total revealed by Microsoft and thus, by extension, the 1.2 teraflop graphics core. So that's another tick on the Durango leaked spec that has been transposed across to the final Xbox One architecture and the proof we need that PlayStation 4's 18 CU graphics core has 50 per cent more raw power than the GPU in the new Microsoft console. Now, bearing in mind that we fully expect PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to launch at similar price-points, how did this disparity come about?

Forgot to add Voted hot - great card for £100

Best card I have seen for under a hundred mate, great deal

CRACKING DEAL...HOT FROM ME!

When this launched it was over-priced at £115 - too close to the 1GB 7850. At this price, you're getting decent value.

HIS make VERY good quality cards with essentially silent coolers so I'd day this will because solid card. Remember these use less power and create less heat in your case than a HD6870 for instance!

Looks a very good deal.................but...................
I have just read that they are using Yodel as their courier service.
Errmmm..... no thanks.

Bloody auto correct!

That makes the now-known difference in price all the more impressive.

Have you also seen how much smaller the PS4 is? Providing overheating isn't an issue, things are looking great!

Because Microsoft want to make profit and bank people will pay whereas Sony will probably work much closer to cost price and bank that this move will kill off Microsoft.

Also with a move to charging for online play an initial higher RRP is less important as they will recoup more money in the long term.

But Microsoft have already been charging for online for many many years anyway so it's even now.

@datalossfs

similar cards, but will perform significantly better in consoles, as they work in closed architecture and developers work closer to metal. John Carmack once said that consoles are approximately two times as powerful as same pc hardware.
