Hisense 43" M3000 UHD Smart TV £299 @ Argos

Found 17th May 2016
Been hunting for a new TV and came across this. Very limited information available on it but £299 for 43" UHD Smart TV, 4 x HDMI, with two year warranty seems decent.

If this is cold then please point me in the direction of something better as buying a new TV is confusing me with so many similar models available.

Is this HDR?

Not sure. Some Google detective work on US models suggests it might be but apart from the Argos description details on the UK model seem not existent. Think I will pick one up tomorrow to have a look at one in the flesh if nothing else.
Found the model on the Spanish Hisense site. Not sure why they don't have it on their UK website.

My lad bought this for his bedroom the other day, for the price I would say its fine.

4k content looks impressive.

Any idea what it's like for gaming (PS4)? And the sound quality?

Not too much difference between the specs. I find it odd that only Argos are selling this. Those specs suggest 10 bit panel with HDR. If that was the case then £299 seems a great price I would think.
He has a PS4 connected and has no complaints, motion is smooth. Cant comment on the audio. Mostly used between PS4 and Netflix 4K.
I can post more detail once it has more use.

That sounds worth a punt. Reserved one for collection tomorrow.
Can any one say if this has a satellite tuner, or not. Wasn't clear in the Q&A on Argos site.

It would appear so, certainly at present.

I bought this very model about 2 weeks ago from Argos,so far very impressed.
4 HDMI ports( 2 are 4k 60ps), HDR etc etc

Although not android, but does have an appstore with quite a few apps.
4k content is brilliant(although only played off YouTube)

Sound is good too(with a bit of tweaking of settings).

Well worth it on my humble opinion.

Yes, it shows on the product video on Argos.
If anyone gets this, can they check whether it is 4k@60hz via PC HDMI and whether you can get Chroma 4:4:4 ?

It has HDMI 2.0 so I see no reason why it wouldn't do 60hz

2 of its 4 hdmi slots state "4k@60hz" next to them ( on mine anyway)
other 2 slots (arc and mhl???) state "4k@30hz"
I think it's a Hisense 43H7C

Exactly. Everywhere I look for specs it says S2/S. But chistinizami who said it doesn't have the tuner has actually bought one of these, I think.
Just got it, it is android based I'm sure
Hi I've just bought this tv and set it up. The picture seems quite fuzzy on all the settings ie standard cinema day and night and dynamic which is extremely bright. Does anyone know what settings I should use. I would have expected it to be OK out of the box. Thanks in advance.
Brought one today... it has a sat connector and a normal tv antenna connector, my picture quality is fantastic .
and if you work for "First group" you can get it for £276 at argos

Thanks, i've heard of people saying that on some models 60hz doesn't work properly when connected to a PC. If you ever get a chance to hook one up and check that and the Chroma 4:4:4 let me know.

Cheers
It does have a satellite tuner and Some of the 4k demos on 5west and 19.2east satellites look outstanding on this set.

same tv 280 in Sainsburys, either 280 or 290 not 100% near bought one last night.
can confirm that a scan of 28.2east brings in all the free to air channels in a very good order, its not freesat but its organized and not all over the place.

Picked one of these up tonight. Been really impressed so far. 4K from YouTube looks incredible, HD feeds are pin sharp too. Even SD looks fine when sitting approx 8 feet away.

Apps for Netflix and Amazon video work well. The EPG seems smooth.

Sound needs a bit of tweaking but is acceptable given the price. Happy so far for £299.
Good on you Stewby!

I gotta feeling Hisense will become a big brand in UK in time, esp after Euro2016
Is there a regular web browser app on it? That would help ditch the laptop after all.
