Websites such as Digital Trends or better, Rtings, are far better at reviewing TVs than Which. That's their bread and butter. Which for instance significantly marks down decent TVs for their sound output, but most TVs need a soundbar.
Casually speaking to TV salespeople at Currys and JL, it appears Hisense and TCL are their top sellers by numbers. At this price point, one shouldn't expect eyeball busting HDR brightness, perfect motion handling, or pitch black levels.
I've seen many low end Hisense panels in showrooms and thought the PQ was very decent. I have had a 55N5500, and currently have a 43 incher as well as a top end 65U8H miniLED - find them excellent value for money.

It also helps to compare a £250 TV to another in the same price range, I find it really bizarre that people on here are comparing this TV to OLEDs and QNEDs.

I got this a few months ago when it was postedt here and there was a voucher making just over £200.
Had an initial glitch that was sorted with a full reset, satisfied with it
though the app ecosystem is quite limited -
Any bigger than 43 would look too much in my living room. (edited)

That's what I thought when I've got my 65 inch. Now I wonder how I was watching on my old 48 inch.
