£329 most places anyway but a good deal for a newish model. £324 from Comet but its not the 90s anymore...

I must be on my 5th year with my 55” Hisense. It’s been an absolute pleasure to own, I’d highly recommend them

How does this stack up against the £349 LG one from Lidl?
    Surprisingly well I think.

Will satisfy 90% of most people's requirements for a TV of this size. I have a 55N5500 now going into its 4th year, used daily and zero issues touch wood. The HDR picture is awesome for the price, and surprisingly all smart apps it came with still work.

thats what i got. But got sucked in and now i got a LG C2 OLED coming over the weekend. If the N5500 blows that one im gonna cry

Its a VA panel too, which means darker blacks so its gonna really compete I paid like £250 for it new lol. (edited)

Oh don't tempt me to get another one I've run out of rooms to put TV in my house. This will just about fit in the bathroom... Otherwise it will tempt me into doing a loft conversion to get another one in!
Oh come on Jungleboy, you have taken the first step of ownership by clicking on this hot deal. You know it makes sense right?

normal power consumption is 77W, high res mode 110W - quite heavy for this size of screen
I noticed it with their smaller TVs (40 inch) as well. seems to be the case with hisense in general

I'm looking at a cheap and cheerful 55inch TV but I don't know much about them. I will need the good viewing angles of IPS that someone mentioned before, which js good. Is it worth going for a TV with google TV or will that push the price up considerably? Any other things to consider? Cheers (edited)
I'd suggest a Chromecast with Google TV for £40. You will get everything you need then.

Does anyone know if the feet can move to a more inwards position?
    They are fixed

Looking for a TV to connect to a PS4 Pro and Nintendo Switch. Is this any good for it? Also have seen the Hisense 55U7HQTUK on Amazon for £530 but not sure if it’s worth the extra?
Not if you don't want 120Hz. Neither the switch or PS4 Pro will benefit.

Can't even do optical out to soundbar and TV speakers at the same time
Why would you want to do that?
